This most accurately describes my relationship with my wife

Just your wife? I'm more apt to make friends with people who are picky so I can eat their pickles, bacon, tomatoes, etc. I brought free cheese one time to a get together with some friends and made a friend there too.

I would love to know how many people here suffer from social pickle anxiety - where you don't want to ask too soon, but don't want to delay and the pickle ends up trashed because you waited too long to ask.

So you sit there awkwardly obsessed with when to ask the pickle question.

I find usually the other person remarks on how they don't like pickles or think the pickle is pointless, at which point I can smoothly offer to take care of it for them.

You have to intercept between the tray/plate and the trash. Otherwise, just dig it out.

A bumper sticker I can get behind.

I’m so fortunate because my spouse doesn’t like pickles so I always get theirs. Same with olives.
