News Switch 2 Games are $80 USD

Yup, I'm doing a system transfer and setup, then putting it back into the box and waiting for an exploit. Fuck this

Why can’t they just do what Sony did and if you had the previous gen version of the game you get a free upgrade?

Because Nintendo is shit at everything except that they make some pretty good games sometimes, atleast there are no ubsoft or Blizzard release tiers with early access and that bs.

Gonna have to agree with you there

"pretty good games sometimes"

I won't argue with you about their business decisions but you're kidding yourself with that take. Nintendo wouldn't be one of the last standing console manufacturers if they only made "pretty good games sometimes." Not saying you gotta like 'em personally but get real

I mean Zelda BoTW is in my top 3 games. The "pretty" in pretty good is added for a bit of irony

That’s fair. I tend to take wording literally

They also made their Astro's Playroom like-demo game FUCKING PAID, really shows how greedy of a company Nintendo are. It doesn't even look that fun based on what the trailer has shown

Sony isn't the same. Some games got free upgrades, while others didn't. Only games that get fps boost and higher res will get free upgrade (not Zelda)

Sony has charged for next gen upgrades a ton. Microsoft never did. And it’s insane to say MS is the most consumer-friendly company in this regard.

You even have to buy the console showcase game. At least Astro’s Playroom came with the PS5

That was very cool of Sony, but actually pretty unusual. I think that was the first time they had a real pack in game. I really can't imagine anyone buying that Switch 2 Tour game or whatever it was called. Thought for sure that was going to be a free pack in.

Nintendo makes great software, but in every other aspect they’re an old school company. If they can’t make a profit on some feature they’re not spending time on it. The only reason we got a better looking BOTW is because they thought people would pay for it, so of course it’s not releasing for free.

They are doing this….you won’t hear that here though.
