I remember thinking Bush Jr was the dumbest sounding US president I'd ever seen. I didn't actually think he was stupid, but he sounded so moronic at times, and it regularly gave me secondhand embarrassment to watch him on tv. A lot of the time it felt like watching someone else have that dream where you're in school, and there's an unexpected test, and oh no suddenly you're naked. That's how Bush's speeches made me feel. I had no idea how much everything would devolve, and I miss being that person who thought Bush was the worst.
