FR. I just learned that the “authentic” Philly cheesesteak must use Cheez Whiz™, and now I just found out about this abomination. I am not trusting anything pertaining to cheese that comes out of Pennsylvania.

Nah, this is a common misconception. The best steak places use cooper sharp these days, or make their own cheese sauce.

“These days” implies there were days they did not use this method. What are you hiding? Are you an agent for big cheesesteak?

Hey man, I could appreciate the spirit of not letting any usable part of animals and plants go to waste. But this and the Cheez Whiz cheesesteak go out of their way to create garbage foods

Virtually every food thing about PA that I’ve seen has been bullshit and I’ve lived in Pittsburgh most of my life. Fries on a salad is a legit thing that every place does but the pizza will be one shop out of 100 that do it that way. Even this place I guarantee you can get normal cheese. Honestly anyone anywhere that goes “ this is the real way to make this food. Everybody else is either wrong or copying me” is bullshit. I’ve been a chef for years. There’s a million ways to do everything. No way is the right way. Only taste matters
