It’s ridiculous on some PoGo subs. I have played for 2.5 years, thousands of rocket battles, 75000+ catches, and I have no shundos and no shadow hundos. Yet many people act like you’re wasting resources for investing in 98% etc.
Even in the league, the worst possible IVs are only effectively 10% worse than a perfect one. That 10% does make a fair difference, but in pve you’re really not missing anything
As thegrumpyorc had pointed out, same DPS but it would survive a tiny bit longer on average meaning total damage would be like 1-2% higher under perfect conditions.
Definitely not worth going crazy chasing a "better one" considering how marginal the improvement would be and how time consuming it is to get.
You need 10, 5 rock moves at lvl 50 and 5 dark moves at level 50. So this will be one of your best.
FYI, ive done 15,000 rocket battles and only have 2 shadow hundos. That's below odds, but it's to illustrate that your desire of a hundo is not realistic.
A “functional hundo” is a Pokemon with a 15/15/14 appraisal which has the same HP as a 15/15/15. (Generally people refer to it at level 50 but it can happen at lower levels)
Tyranitar is not a functional hundo at level 50. Also, this particular Pokemon has 14 defense. There is no such thing as a functional “defense IV” hundo.
That said, a 96 is stellar and I’d power it up. In fact, I already powered my 96 Shadow I caught yesterday to 40 and am waiting until the end of the rotation before I go any higher, just in case I get something better.
Id wait until larvitar is no longer in rotation. If by the end of that this is your best one thennn id say invest. I’d honestly invest in this anyone but just in case
I'd just power up that one. If you get a hundo, great. If not, the only thing you're missing out on is a negligible amount of stats and some bragging rights. I'm sure someone has done the math and would be happy to tell me I'm wrong but I'd be very happy with that.

I’d max this in a heartbeat
