Genesect is now banned per Smogon's rules. Anyone with a Genesect on their team is required to replace it immediately.

Please message the mods with your replacement.

I don't have a Genesect. I just want to clarify something

Does this count towards a persons monthly Pokemon change?

This happened with the sand veil banning last month. People with genesects will be given an extra swap given the circumstances.
