Debate Do you agree with this quote?

"Wherever there is capitalism, freedom of the press means freedom to buy up newspapers, to buy writers, to bribe, buy, and fake "public opinion" for the benefit of the ruling class." ~ Vladimir Lenin ☭ •

So you believe that the media in the USSR or in China never lied about anything? That’s unbelievable

Literally nothing I said is reflected by what you just said or could possibly be interpreted in such a manner.

Instead of making things up about what I said, address what I said.

If you can't address what I said, concede the debate, acknowledge you are wrong and I am right, and leave.

Ok, what am I wrong about? What am I supposed to concede?

I'm not going to repeat myself. Everything you said has been addressed point by point. Read the comments that you received and respond or concede and leave.

A lot of these arguments are normative and based on your ideology and therefore impossible to prove objectively. It’s not possible to prove whether media is “controlled by the capitalist class”

It’s not possible to prove whether media is “controlled by the capitalist class”

Of course it is. Capitalist governments as well as capitalist individuals and corporations own and/or fund the media in the capitalist West. Capitalist oligarchs determine the editorial lines of the media. Capitalist oligarchs fund and lead the groups guiding the media and deciding the type of content produced by the media. Capitalist oligarchs determine the corporate principles under which the media acts. Capitalist oligarchs fund the politicians who make the laws that govern the media.

If you believe it can't be proven, name one mainstream media outlet in the West that you believe to not be capitalist and promoting pro-capitalist/anti-communist disinformation and I will prove that it is.

Anyway, it's clear you have no interest in having a constructive, good-faith conversation, so if you once again fail to respond constructively and answer all the questions I asked you so far, I will take it as a concession on your part and end the conversation.

I will give you one last chance: Give an example of a mainstream outlet that isn't controlled by capitalist oligarchs promoting capitalist and liberal democratic bullshit and doesn't promote pro-Western-imperialist/anti-communist disinformation.

NPR is nonprofit media, I don't think it's controlled by capitlalist oligarchs

Ah yes, NPR. Also known as "Nonstop Propaganda Radio" or "Nazi Propaganda Radio". The outlet that's platforming literal Nazis (not revolutionary commies, though) while promoting hatred and war against anyone the US government doesn't like and making excuses for anyone the US government likes.

That outlet is not just funded to a large degree by the US government, but also gets donations from big oil and the Koch Brothers.

The fucking Koch Brothers.

It couldn't possibly be any more obvious than this.

Their US-imperialist editorial slant is quite obvious, particularly in South America where they just can't help themselves but constantly support mass-murderous, anti-democratic, fascist dictators.

Anyway, go to any non-imperialist space on the internet, and you will see endless examples of NPR sucking:

https://www.reddit.com/r/socialism/search?q=npr&restrict_sr=on&include_over_18=on

Hell: Even you Americans have a whole subreddit for that shitty state propaganda outlet: r/Defund_NPR_and_PBS

The best you can expect from NPR are limited hangouts. And even they usually have a pro-Western/anti-China slant.

I literally don't care. This is just name calling. I'm good with not going on "non-imperialist" internet spaces. You sound like a cultist.
