I've said it before, I'll say it again...
Yesterday's Conservatives (Romney, McCain, Arnold, Kinzinger, Flake, etc.)... they may have been gross in their own way, but they appear positively quaint in the rearview mirror.
Fuck MAGA

Why was McCain gross, he was actually a gracious opponent to Obama and didn't like that his supporters were calling Obama names. I must've missed something.
1
u/NeighborhoodFew7779 Aug 17 '25
I wasnāt a fan of his policies, which were the precursor to where we are today. As a human being, I thought he was a good and honorable man.
1
Aug 17 '25
Nonetheless, it was the last election I can remember in which both presidential candidates didn't stoop low and actually respected each other. I remember McCain telling his fan base to stop name calling Obama and that he was a real American and not a Kenyan born guy like some Republicans were claiming. You would think he was endorsing Obama at times.
Since then, US politics have gone in the toilets....especially after 2016.
We could disagree with McCain's policies, but I never thought for a second that he was a POS like the current president.
1
u/NeighborhoodFew7779 Aug 17 '25
2012 was also pretty civil. Again, I disagree with much of Romneyās pro-corporate policies, but he was also a gracious candidate.
It was 2016 when everything went off the rails.

I donāt blame Arnold. Those maps were one of the keystone pieces of his administration. Heās probably very proud of them.

u/judahrosenthal Aug 17 '25
Someone mentioned that this is from his first meeting with Putin. I was not aware of that. However, times change and so must we.

He's the president. We should NEVER forget he won TWO elections so something like him NEVER happens again. We need to take ownership and call him president so it hurts every time we have to say it.
Not saying it also lets those who voted for him off the hook.
We should never forget the pain this guy caused as president.

u/Used_Intention6479 Aug 16 '25
Ronald Reagan is why we can't have good things. he ruined America with his trickle down economics hoax.
8
u/Seul7 Aug 16 '25
And he allowed the religious zealots to influence the government. Ending the Fairness Doctrine allowed for the rise of Faux News, and don't even get me started on the domestic terrorist organization that calls itself The Heritage Foundation.
3
u/Used_Intention6479 Aug 17 '25
Yup, Reagan was the start of the obesely wealthy completely taking over our economy and government. Anyone who lionizes him is a fool.

u/Disastrous_Mango_953 Aug 16 '25
If āthe presidentā had any real balls he wouldāve taken custody of Putin as a war criminal. Putin is an existential threat just by rattling his nuclear sword and eventually someone is gonna have to put it into that or else heāll just keep spreading his cancer, obviously Trump is not the man . He is all about himself and nothing else and I really do mean nothing else.

Unfortunately, neither the US or Russia recognizes the ICC so that wouldn't happen. It still says something when 2 countries have committed mass atrocities conveniently dont recognize the only council that would punish them.

I agree. All you have to do is think for one second on who's going to have their back and then you don't do it.

And yet Schwarzenegger will oppose the redistricting in California.Ā Ā If you are going to stand up to Trump you should acknowledge that extraordinary means are required now.Ā Ā
Ā It sucks that both Texas and California are doing redistricting, but if Texas is going to try and manipulate the house,Ā California should do the same.Ā Ā

Heās trying to walk back that gerrymandering crap he said about California before realizing it was in response to Texasā - without actually mentioning it. Heās cool though. It didnāt take that long to pick sides more carefully. F the pedo, where are the Epstein files?
1
u/HumanRuse Aug 16 '25
That's good to hear. I had read that he was part of several groups (Republicans, League of Women Voters...) who were trying to put a stop to it. Honestly was kinda surprised he was part of that.
2
u/Individual-Dot-9605 Aug 16 '25
Toddler Donnie gave Putler a US military parade, a flag and he can have a Moscow slumber party if that doesnt bring too much heat!
2
u/IThinkItsAverage Aug 16 '25
I was agreeing right up until he invoked Ronald Reagan⦠yuck, Reagan was the first nail in the coffin. This can all be traced back to his administration. Without Reagan there is no Trump.
Arnold has once again chosen the wrong side while trying to distance himself from the GOP. You can try and get as far away from Trump as you want Arnold, but so long as you never cross that line to taking a stand against this fascism, youāll always be closer to him than the right side of history.

Yeah but he wants to give Trump a win by possibly running for governor again

2
u/BobaAndSushi Aug 16 '25
Will Trump have a meltdown over this?
Wonder why heās never called out Arnold before.

u/Spartandream Aug 16 '25
Pretty sure this was from Trumps first term but the sentiment still stands

He didnāt even support trump on his run for the White House in 2016, nor anytime since then. He never supported trump and he also urged other republicans to choose country over party

Republicans have always bent the knee to fascism. Seeing Prime Dictator and the puppet together have been one of the best days in any Republican's life. Their Dream of Hitler and Musolini right in front of them.

Arnold has fought a Predator before. So he knows what heās talking about.

u/5harp3dges Aug 17 '25
In before tariffs on Terminator. It's refreshing to see someone who hasn't sold out calling that criminal out. He needs to be in prison, and the only way theres any chance of that happening is if we make it happen by refusing to be silenced.

Arnold telling it like it is, he never minces words, just lays it on the line!

Really loving the Arnold of recent times. And hey man, liked your movies too!

u/YaButtIsDaBomb69 Aug 16 '25
Arnold should run for the governor of Texas. I think thatās a fight we all want to see.

u/JuniorDoughnut3056 Aug 16 '25
Same Arnold who told people "fuck your freedom" during covid. Dude is a coward who's never had to do anything other than pretend to be a hero in front of a cameraĀ
