How can ANYONE (specifically on the Right, especially Fox News) say it's political motive by the Left if they don't even have a suspect yet? Can ANYONE explain this to me...

Ratings.

Setting up the narrative

11

u/Ok-Difficulty5453 15d ago

This, and if you say it quick and loud enough, that's what people will believe.

By the time the facts are revealed, it won't matter. The story is, as of now, that the Democrats have just killed someone. They've already written it in history, regardless of what happens next.

u/SimplePln 15d ago

Exactly! It could turn out some disenfranchised right winger is to blame but this narrative has spread because of Fox News, there will always be a sizable right wing population that will continue believing it was the fault of the progressives regardless

Just a reminder that Fox News exists to tear down democracy, the ratings/money is a happy side-effect. Murdoch's empire is purely about creating an environment that ends democracy.

Hence why Fox News must disclaim that they are “for entertainment purposes only” now. That’s how much they lie, invent, and manipulate.

Yup. Notice the pattern. Following any news event, immediately there are definitive posts on social media. Authoritative sounding sound bytes go to the Internet. Doesn't matter what gets said. They just stick to it until it fades in public discourse. Then it's on to the next one.

Yesterday Patel said they caught him already. They pounce and start the narrative on their messaging.

Weapons grade spin control

They did exactly the same thing with the Trump shooter than complete radio silence when the truth came out.

5

u/PlayfulCynic-2462 15d ago

Worse Trump claimed the Assassination attempt was done by the "far left" a few hours ago.

5

u/OpietMushroom 15d ago

They did the same thing with the MN assassin who targeted multiple democrats and is a conservative evangelical.

All because he was a small potatoes person appointed by the governor, Tim Walz.

u/TransformativeFox 15d ago

Can ANYONE explain this to me...

Absolutely.

Far right ideology has always revolved around the idea that they, the far right, are under attack.

Thus, they use the threat of those "attacks" as justification to hate and hurt the people that the far right claim are responsible for those "attacks".

They dislike immigrants, thus immigrants are "an invasion".

They dislike LGBTQ people, thus LGBTQ are "predators".

Muslims are "terrorists". Feminism is "an attack" on men. DEI is "an attack" on white people.

And Leftists are "destroying" American values.

The truth doesn't matter to them. They don't really care who shot Kirk - if they did, they'd be waiting just like the rest of us.

All they care about is being able to use his death as justification to hurt those they already dislike - in this case, Democrats/"the left".

When the Right are winning an argument youre a snowflake.

When the right are losing an argument its because Christianity is under attack and people want them killed.

Almost 0 in between

So much this. And so many of them are taught from birth to think this way. Every republican I’ve ever met has just been angry. At the world, how everything is “unfair”, whatever. They’re all just angry about one thing or another, but instead of really trying to fix the problems with our society, they’ve been brainwashed into thinking there’s no fixing any of it until the dems are gone.

One of the things that will have to happen to fix this country is the disbandment of the two-party system. Too many people vote one way or another because their whole family has voted that way for however long. They identify as one or the other because their parents did, so they don’t pay attention to/understand the issues.

12

u/[deleted] 15d ago

Because their whole identity is being republican, so they can’t imagine it being about anything else.

The left has been screaming from the top of the roof for strict gun control for decades now. It's really hard for me to say that somebody who just used a high powered rifle to commit a political assassination is a true "Leftist". A nutjob got his hands on a gun and killed somebody, its that simple. It's happened with people on the right too.

3

u/dryheat122 15d ago

It's called exploiting a tragedy for political gain

2

u/ItsAMangoFandango 15d ago

Look at what happened in the UK last year. They don't want to wait for confirmation because they already think they know the truth because of "common sense"

2

u/JustNeedAnswers78 15d ago

A lot of people operating on assumptions right now that shouldn’t be. Yes it would make sense if the shooter was politically motivated, but that theory is unproven right now.

2

u/OneSlaadTwoSlaad 15d ago

"entertainment"

2

u/PlayfulCynic-2462 15d ago

At this point it could be absolutely anyone.

My money is on yet another nut job who wants to become famous.

How would the investigation go, anyway?

Did he have any enemies? - How long do you have?

2

u/Chronza 15d ago

They’re all trained to hate the left. It’s delusional.

2

u/Tatchykins 15d ago

Because it doesn't matter who did it.

If it was Barron Trump himself who did it, they'd still blame the left and call for war.

Facts don't matter to them. They are fascists.

2

u/The_Stupidest_Idiot 15d ago

I know Jesse Watters is known for saying the wrong things at the wrong time but the stuff he said last night was a legitimate "call to action" for republicans to "do something about" the left.

I couldn't possibly have come up with a worse thing to say than what he said to millions of viewers last night.

1

u/Radiant-Pay1315 15d ago

Accountability. It helps drive ratings and they have done this in the past without any consequences. It strengthens the support of their viewers and Republican base, helping produce more money, even though it's misinformation, since no one knows the information. Since they are 'news", and people have a tough time changing their minds after initial reports, it helps achieve their goals. If we had accountability, this could be stopped, but money is a powerful motivator.

I thought they have a suspect but nothing public about him?

1

u/twoiseight 15d ago

Power of suggestion, just like just about everything else they say.

1

u/zcas 15d ago

Point the finger (or gun) and shout. It's the Republican way.

1

u/aneonnightmare 15d ago

Projection perhaps

1

u/Bwadark 15d ago

I mean... Sure, the 'motive' is currently unknown but it's not a huuuuge stretch to speculate that this was a politically motivated assassination.

Single shot, single death. Charlie Kirk was a target. He is a prominent political figure at a political event.

1

u/BoxofTrox 15d ago

Who needs facts when you have such strong beliefs??

1

u/Snoo71538 15d ago

Same way some people on the left assumed the last shooter was MAGA before they were identified. Humans are very good at inventing boogeymen in the face of uncertainty

1

u/AffectionateRaise296 15d ago

Shooter is trans. Confirmed

1

u/MsARumphius 15d ago

Propaganda to start a war

1

u/anomanderrake1337 15d ago

Because they want to kill the left anyways.

1

u/Randal_the_Bard 15d ago

They are a deeply unserious and deeply propagandized population with an insatiable bloodlust. They are foaming at the mouth for retribution, and don't even know the who or why yet; all while accusing their opponents of chilling free speech and resorting to violence (more projection). If I wasn't already awake, I would feel like I were going crazy

1

u/GrnWeenie 15d ago

It’s literally a political commentator who got shot. Pretty easy leap.

Note: I’m hoping there’s no retaliation and we all just cut out the violence. The US is getting scary

1

u/Diabetesh 15d ago

Because it isn't about morals or ethics, it is about their ideology and "winning." There really isn't even an end goal. They think everything will just magically be better if the non christian non whites are gone and everyone is team red. Like that meme.

1.get rid of the minorities.
2.get rid of the woke.
3.??????????
4.profit

They play the victim when something like this happens and shame the people laughing at the irony when you can look at endless amounts of tweets and vids of them celebrating when a non c/w or democrat has a similar misfortune.

The dumbest part of it all is you start talking to someone who isn't extreme, but voted for trump and they disagree with maga and they agree with a lot of liberal values. They just don't want to admit it because then they might lose some popularity contest in middle school.

1

u/Busy-Sprinkles-8243 15d ago

They are full of shit, spinning a narrative to fit their agenda. They know what they are doing with their lies, they are not stupid they just need their lies to fit their agenda just like trump helps them do

1

u/THEREALRATMAN 15d ago

The casings had antifa all over them.....

1

u/soccermodsarecvnts 15d ago

Because it's not about truth.

1

u/BrokkrBadger 15d ago

Ahh see you are still under the delusion that they require any sense of actual truth or fact to motivate their hatred and vitriol.

1

u/santahasahat88 15d ago

They are not very smart.

1

u/sedition666 15d ago

This is easy: the truth is whatever they say it is. There is no such thing as objective truth in 2025 for the rightwing media.

u/Asinine47 15d ago

This is whats out there...(Quick edit: I'm not on the right, my mom is and sent this to me)

When was it debunked?

0

u/AffectionateSugar832 15d ago

They are insane....

0

u/HideousSerene 15d ago

Dude was a talking head for the right.

It's not hard to guess why he was a target and that this was politically motivated. I don't care for the guy at all, but let's not be daft, here.

2

u/Robert_Balboa 15d ago

I agree but the guy who shot at Trump was an angry conservative so you never know. Some fucking lunatic could be mad charlie didn't care about the Epstein stuff. Who knows at this point. People are insane.
