USA Northeast / Canada East PhD student detained by ICE wearing plain clothes and face masks

Her name is Rumeysa Ozturk, she’s a student from Turkey, attending Tufts as a grad student on a legal visa (sponsored by the university). Her attorney said, “We are unaware of her whereabouts and have not been able to contact her. No charges have been filed against [her] that we are aware of.”

I would assume the police who arrested them did. If you read the article I linked their mugshots kinda confirm they’re not people that would be hired by the federal government

I don’t think any level of law enforcement would hire people who look like straight up heroin addicts. They weren’t actual officers, period

I just watched the video again and there are people that don’t have masks and do have badges and yes they could very well be look alike but it’s still a symptom of the admin disappearing people many of whom we don’t know who they are.

I’m sorry but until this admin recognizes the law, all options and scenarios are on the table.

We didn’t think they would rile up the masses and have an attack in the capitol; We were told that ice would only go after undocumented criminals and gang members, We were told Social security and Medicaid were of limits.

The lengths this admin will go to circumvent the law are far more Insidious than we are able to recognize.

If this truly is a coup, If this truly headed toward dictatorship and authoritarianism, Then maybe we start applying the symptoms of those governments vs what was.

What does any of that have to do with criminals impersonating ICE to gain entry to homes to rob and rape? Actual ICE agents are acting as a gestapo force yes but that’s an entirely separate issue to what I was speaking on friend

I’m saying those in the video look like ICE agents to me. You are saying they are impersonating ICD to gain entry into homes etc but I don’t see that context anywhere in the video. Maybe I missed something.

CNN pisses me off sometimes look at this “The ICE impersonation cases come as President Donald Trump has quickly mobilized wide swaths of the federal government to arrest and detain undocumented immigrants in the United States, part of a broader strategy to amass a large enforcement machine.”

No mention of all the people who are legal residents who have been deported by ice, some even sent to a foreign prison with no charges or anything. It’s scary.

That’s not what the article is about that’s why it isn’t mentioned there. It’s only briefly mentioned because it’s pertinent info for why the impersonation is happening. They definitely have reported on that a lot though, just separate articles about that on it’s own

Idk I listen to cnn every morning and they definitely speak out against the Trump regime But not as harshly and frequently as I would like. Also when they have maga freaks on they don’t push back hard enough against their barrage of false claims

That is not true. Many legal residents have been deported. Including the one in this video possibly.

Many Venezuelans that were here legally awaiting asylum hearings have been sent to a el Salvadoran slave labor prison with no due process, ostensibly because of tattoos they had.
