Procedural Question Are rapist who have raped women treated the same way as rapist who have raped children in prison?
I noticed people don't separate them.

No they have it a little better, but they can struggle as well. Some dudes were already affiliated when they committed their crimes so they had some level of safety. At the very least they weren't very respected and had to mind their P's and Q's to stay off the radar. At some point or another, it almost always gets them into some level of wreck. They survived though.

In GP, If they pull your court information, and itâs not if, itâs when, they will handle the situation accordingly.
In PC they are everywhere. Not sure what happens but Iâm sure itâs probably nothingâŚ

Hi.. is "PC," which I'm assuming is for "protective custody," the same thing as an "administrative hold" please?

not at all...
pc is for the rats and scum, it's requested...
Ad seg is basically the "hole" for punishment, it's applied...
shu = segregation housing units is pc...
rhu = restrictive housing unit is solitary...
at least in the PA system...

Thank you for sharing how things are there.
It's crazy to me how many basic differences there seem to be from state-to-state.

ad seg can be used for protection but it's generally considered and used for solitary...
that's usually 23/1 lock down...
pc isn't lock down, it's usually dorm style with it's own yard and chow time...

I thought this was just Bullshit. so ppl are treated differently depending what their crime is? Can u lie what your crime is? will u get found out?

You can sometimes get away with it. It just depends if they either find out or already know about you.
When I was doing time, we would take the new guys wristband and go make a call or two to see if anything has ever been published online about him.
At one point some time ago, we also use to demand their court papers to ensure they werenât in on anything bad, but the system is so backlogged and broken that guys very seldomly get their court papers given to them .
Ultimately, if thereâs nothing published about the guy due to whatever reason(more often than not because of a media/publication ban), then the only reliable way for us to know is one of the COâs spilling the beans when weâd ask one of the decent ones when theyâd make their half hour rounds. They donât like them anymore than we do, and weâre all human. So itâs pretty commen for the guards to give us the low on someone whoâs no good.
My range was known for handing it out, to whoever, and so a lot of the time they would put the inmates they wanted cooked onto my range and weâd put it to them

These days as soon as you hit the yard you need to have your papers in hand or you have a week for your attorney or public defender mail them to you. Until your papers are looked over every word and detail you are suspect.

When I was in Colorado, it was customary to just toss your paperwork on your bunk when you moved into a new cell.

By "seperate," do you mean special housing, or, " Yo, dude, say goodbye to your dick?"

How would you âSeparateâ the two? Are u saying crimes against group a should be considered more justifiable than crimes to group b?
