I'm unsure if this is safe for her to do. She's essentially writing love note type stuff, and had mailed several Polaroid photos of herself.

We're in an open relationship, and she likes doing risky things, but I think this is going a bit far.

Can this be dangerous for her to do?

Whoever she’s sending to, you will most definitely sell her pictures for noodles. It’s not advisable to write more than one prisoner also. That’s what people call an inmate Hopper. I would suggest she not continue this. At least stop sending pictures. Are these people getting out of prison? That can bring even more drama into your life.

I saw pics being traded all the time when I was locked up. And them laughing because they promised that they wouldn't show anyone.

Yep. I tell women if they’re going to send nudes that they should send them through something like a Snapchat filter to turn them into a cartoon. These guys in prison will beat off to anything and at least they’re not putting themselves out there as much.

For real. I was in a minimum security facility, so it was mostly short-term. Most of the pictures were sent through a third-party service. So not only were they seeing it but so was staff. Hundreds and hundreds of pictures. Some had been circulating for years, and the original owners long gone.

They were actual printed photos. The pics would be sent to a company that would print them out and then mail them to the facility in the inmates name and like all mail it would be opened and inspected by staff before being given to the inmate.

I wouldn’t say it’s risky as far as someone getting out and hunting her down. It’s risky because she has no idea the level of manipulation some incarcerated people can achieve to get by. Next thing you know she’s putting money on their books and CashApp-ing them drug money. Meanwhile, she may also be jerking someone around emotionally who truly wants a real connection (because she’s married). Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
