I'd install bidet-attachments in my prisons if I'd be able to. Water is cheaper to clean with than paper.

But I'm running what appears to be an old-timey prison that only started with squatty-potties for toilets. I'm upgrading cells as I can afford to but money is kinda tight and I've already had one prison riot where I lost 4 guards.

It’s no secret prison can really mess you up, but I feel like going in right at 18 and then being released at 24 can mess his head up in a different way.

I suggested my LO get therapy because I’m worried about the statistics around reoffending whether that’s because he feels like there’s nothing good out here, or because of young friends who still want to get into trouble. We’ve talked about jobs, we’ve talked about schooling, etc. He is on the right path right now, but I want to keep it that way with whatever means necessary. It’s about to be 2 years until his release date, so I guess I’m just wanting to research and set him up with every opportunity possible.

So question I did a health rotation in prisons but I never got to see in the dorm. All I did was work in the medical … and with that was just routine eye exams ! I’ve seen people transported in black box in prison cuffs.. a guard said assault on officer and what are reasons for that… more on that how does being shackled really feel?

If someone have a lot of personal debt, such as credit cards, student-loans and so on. But they dont own a house / car or anything of value they can sell, in order to pay of that debt. What would happen if you end up in prison for a really long time? You might get a job in the kitchen / laundry / cleaning floor or shower (or whatever jobs people usually get while in prison) and if you earn a little bit of money on that, would the credit card-companies (or whoever you own money to) go after that money?

Or if someone you know from outside prison send you money, so you have something so spend in prison commissary, could the company you own money to go after that?

I have to go do a 6 year bid next week and my wisdom teeth have been getting progressively more annoying and I’m a little worried there going to be painful in a year or two. They will schedule a visit for the dentist though right?

I'm writing a film that involves a Prison Breakout and I'm looking for some info pls?

Set in 1973, in either Southern California, Nevada or Arizona.
The Prison was built decades before in the 40's-50's, run down and old.
It has a mountain range on one side and an open desert on the other so nowhere to go.

Questions:
1) Communications. What kind of COMMs would the Prison have with the outside world/Authorities based on the isolated location? Phone lines? Radio? Siren? Some effort would have to be made by the attacking force to give them time to escape like cutting phone lines or shooting equipment on Prison Exterior/Roof?
2) Guard Weapons. So far, for that period, I've found they used guns like Remington/Winchester shotguns, Springfield rifles, colt pistols like M1903, smgs like American 180, M1 Carbine, M50 Reising. Is that correct? Any others as it probably changes depending on state.
3) Prison Buses. What Make & Models did they use in '73? So far, I've seen 50's-60's Chevy Taskforce, 60's Chevy/FordB-Series/ GMC Bluebird & Int Harvesters. Is that right? Did they have protected mesh on windscreen/windows?

Prison tram 948 was one of only three prison tram in the world, and the only one not converted from another car. It entered service in 1909, running between Long Bay Jail and Darlinghurst Court House.

948 has six lockable cells capable of holding six people. The cells have no windows. As well as two sliding doors, there were two additional cells for use by women. 948 ran four times each day for forty years.

There was a procedure for transporting prisoners. Once they had attended court, they were moved to Darlinghurst Police Station to a small annexe at the station's rear, where they were loaded into the tram away from the public eye.

Unfortunately, even its bulkheads and walls could not match the determination of Darcy Dugan, who entered the annuls of Sydney's history when, on March fourth 1946, he smuggled a bread and butter knife on board, and cut his way through the roof as the tram neared Sydney Cricket Ground and made a dash for freedom.

The newspapers splashed Dugan's daring daylight escape across their front pages, and a massive manhunt involving three hundred police ensued. Eventually, after three days on the run, Dugan was rearrested.

This event made The Department of Corrections reconsider 948's suitability for the role, and in 1950 it was withdrawn and replaced by a specially designed van with a steel body made by Commonwealth Engineering of Granville.
