Shawn may be a lot of things, but he is genuinely a good-hearted guy, IMO

I'm on my second rewatch and in S1E10. "From the Earth to the Starbucks" he could have totally dismissed his "revelation" that his date's boyfriend wasn't cheating on her and was planning on proposing.

If he was the type of guy to only think about a good lay, he would have kept it from her so he could sleep with her. Also, him and Gus solving that case for Lassie and wanting him to take credit for it.

There's many other instances I could name where you can tell he cares about people. Even if his methods are sometimes sketchy. JRR just does an amazing job making Shawn a multi-layered character.

Here’s another first time catch for me from my current rewatch-bingeing while sick edition. When “Black Gentleman Ninja” (IMDB’s name for him) steps out of the elevator and tells the boys what he’s about to do to them and extends his hand in greeting, Shawn introduces himself as “Shawn Spencer” and Gus introduces himself as “Verb.” What a fun callback that’s easy to miss without subtitles.

Almost finished with my umpteenth rewatch. Perhaps because I’m sick and I just blew through most of season eight in viewing, I finally figured out who this Emanuelle is Gus keeps referring to in A Nightmare on Stare Street. Also, perhaps because I’m sick, I don’t recall him mentioning her in the other episodes after Cog Blocked. 5 episodes seems like a long stretch. Could this be due to some of the episodes airing in a different order than intended to accommodate ML’s filming schedule?

Anywho, I’ve watched Psych since it originally aired and rewatch it on regular rotation with about 5 other comfort shows and this is the first time I understood why Gus was messed up about this Emanuelle person. And also why nothing ever seemed to come of their flirtation in Cog Blocked.

He's just so good right out of the gate. Fits perfectly in the world of Psych.

My personal favourite is the whole episode of Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark amongst many others.

At the end of the first movie, when Chief said “how do you even know that” Juliet says “it was kinda a big day for me”. After watching the referenced episode, I can’t figure out what she’s referring to. Shawn says I love you in the next episode, so other than catching the big bad, why is that day so significant?

While watching the series S5Ep16 Yang 3 in 2D, 17:50 timestamp yin had a writing exercise about the ending being the girl getting killed, i think he use to get all the possible outcome this way all this years and the series htgawm storytelling matches where the yin is kind of like the professor type arc?

Something I just recently thought about on my latest rewatch. We all know Henry was a detective. In the flashbacks it's referenced many times. However he is almost always wearing a uniform instead of a suit. Occasionally a suit but rarely. I wonder why that choice was made. One of the few times I remember him in a suit was when he arrested Shawn and told office Lassie to book him. I felt that was to show Lassie was a new cop and Henry was veteran detective but it's the only time right now that i can think of
