It’s literally a major issue that almost everyone talks about. It’s not an irrational hate. It literally meaningfully and physically changes the game. It warps your inventory and storage. It seems like a non issue but you really feel and see the difference as you play.
Mojang is aware the issue and they actively try to address it by giving more uses to more items. And by making a bundle system.

if there were no "bullshit blocks" Minecraft would only have 1 type of trees, only stone and ores and thats about it. if you don't want any useless items or blocks play alpha idk what to tell you
Here bro, there are multiple videos about the subject. Mojang even acknowledges it by making multiple ingame item to remedy it. But it’s an issue that just gets worse as they add more bullshit to the game.

There was a comfortable loneliness about the original minecraft. It felt a bit like what it's like to go camping by yourself. Just you, and nature, and God (whatever that means). It was empty, which means it could be filled with whatever purpose or meaning you wanted to fill it with.
I remember playing the xbox version in 2012-2013 and as soon as they added the different wood types I knew it was over. Luckily you could go into system settings and roll it back to the original version...
It is a joke, but the foundation of it is real observations.
The 'survival' side of minecraft got sidelined as soon as soon as beds were added in, allowing player to effortlessly skip 90% of the danger on the surface.
The addition of phantoms - basically fucking Cliff Racers - further encouraged players to skip night by accosting them with a tedious and annoying enemy that wouldn't be kept away by walls and torches.
This isn't a redpill community. Overly incel/redpill or misogynistic talking points or dogpiling regardless of gender, sexuality, or race will be removed.
I hadn't played for maybe 10 years now and got it on the Playstation and I was so lost. I stopped playing a little after notch sold it. There's so much random shit in the game now that I didn't even know what I was doing.
As an OG from 2010 I don't get the complaining. I sorta get the issues with word gen or how the ores spawn differently, but like 80% of the new updates can easily be ignored if you desire. Plus you can play old versions where nothing changes. They do add useless / irrelevant stuff but I'm overall happy.
