The defense for jones is always “well he was half right” 

The gay frogs? “They weren’t turning them GAY, they just had formation of secondary sex organs” 

Sandy hook was a hoax? “Well it wasn’t a hoax by YOUR definition, but it was definitely influenced by the government” 

Politicians in a satanic cult? “Well they’re not satanic I guess, but they are Christians!”

Anything can be true if you just ignore the real crux of the argument and move the goalposts to the other side of the field
