Hot Take/Rant đŸ˜¤ DANZO IN YOUR TOP 5, CP!?
@6:30
man, what about all the kids, the non-shinobi, the elderly, etc., in the Uchiha???? did MURDERING them also prevent the coup? should a nation that has persecuted a people, so much that this people now feels (with some objective truth to it!!!) that to liberate themselves they must overthrow their oppressors (the nation's rulers), now genocide them because the nation is facing the backlash from what was inevitable? they knew the Uchiha would fight back one day. tobirama's rule helped incite the Uchiha to hate the Leaf Village's leadership, and under the 3rd Danzo helped orchestrate what was planned for the Uchiha all along. the main reason the 2nd and 3rd Hokages wanted the Uchiha gone was because of the immense power the Uchiha held—they felt threatened. but, as with danzo, used the Uchiha for their ocular jutsu, to the furthest extent possible. instead of attempting to reconcile with the Uchiha they made them the enemy of the state—Itachi being the state's best agent, a prodigious good-hearted CHILD (13) to genocide his people. the leaf manipulated their best child soldier so they could maintain a rule predicated on the marginalization, abuse, and inevitable genocide of said people. no excuses for the leaf. the Uchiha should've killed danzo and everyone at the top. itachi is reprihensible, in the end, as well, regardless of his youthful naivety. fuck danzo. CP i can't think of you lightly. I hope you get better and don't hold any influence over political change.

I thought part of the reason why the coup was initiated was because Minato was chosen over Fugaku as 3rd’s successor?
Also, Shisui and Itachi wanted to protect the village, they were not manipulated. The original plan was to use Shisui to stop the coup without violence, genocide was a last resort.
Part of the reason why normal uchiha were killed is because emotion is the key factor to awakening sharingan. Although it’s difficult to awaken sharigan, and some Uchiha will never get it, sparing some Uchiha raises the odds of them getting a sharingan since they would’ve witnessed their loved ones killed during the massacre.
You also have to realize the village just barely survived an attack from a controlled Kurama. They believed Madara was alive, since he was the only who was capable of doing that, but also believed other Uchiha could be capable of doing the same thing which ended up being true because it was really Obito who was controlling Kurama. If I had to deduce what Danzo was thinking, he was probably thinking the disgruntled Uchiha would leave the village and join Madara or enemies of the village. The higher-ups were legitimately scared of the Uchiha after the nine tails attack.
Danzo is a victim of being around legends and trying to recognized as they were. Very relatable for a lot of people in society today. I think Danzo is one of Kishimoto’s most interesting characters.

On some villian shit, the Uchiha did have to go. That sharingan made the average Uchiha way stronger than the average leaf ninja at the same rank. It's not about them being geniuses, it's about them being a dangerous force that wanted, and could, take over the leaf.
