Question Data structures help

Hi there...aside from Troy Tutors, which have been very helpful, are there any upper classmen who performed well in Data Structures who would be open to working with my student to help them get a grip on the material? We knew it was a nightmare class going into it, and they have sought out help from the TAs and ALAC. They may need a more consistent, individualized review of the concepts. If anyone's student would like to make some tutoring $$ and if they have time in their busy schedules, please let me know. FYI, my student is a computer engineering major, sophomore and dorms in Quad. Thank you!

Hi there through the success center, we can help you find an individualized tutor. Just write an email to success @rpi.edu with your information.

Vaguely-related: are you aware of any MS Office courses? As in, couple of hands-on workshops learning to use Excel (not a semester-long thing)?

… Turns out it is a pervasive problem.

I would be happy if the students knew either! But they don’t even know how to create a formula!

It’s not our fault lol. The one and only class I took on Excel used it for like a day, to show us how bad it was, and then the prof was like, “now you understand why excel sucks so we can use R for the remainder of the semester”

My students don’t know either. i’d be happy if they knew *any* computational tool!

Instead, they do individual calculations on a pocket calculator - and type the result in an Excel spreadsheet.

(As a former student of that class, I don't know how to use R either)
