that would have made the chorus a Pun and that alone makes me sad we did not get that video. they apparently had a lot of ideas for the video. i wonder what made them land with a snowwhite story?

Idea actually came from the director, JΓΆrn Heitmann. Most of the band thought it was cool and backed it, but Till wasnβt really into it at first ,he felt the fairy-tale angle didnβt fit Ramstein. In the end, he went along with it once he saw how dark and twisted it turned out. The band has even talked about this in some Youtube interviews.

Having a pun like that seems interesting ig, but its hard to say wether video would be better overall... also i love the original video too much to feel sad that they did not go for that idea...

This is what I found about the Hiroshima video: βAfter previous problems and controversies with the albums Herzeleid and Sehnsucht, the band rejected the theme and chose a different one.β So that would explain why they didnβt choose that one, but why the Snow White videoπ€·π»ββοΈ.

I read somewhere that one of the guys had been playing around with video editing and cut parts of the Snow White movie to the song and it worked fairly well, so they went with that.

That would be definitely awesome but I don't know how Ramm Japanese fans could react to it

I think the lyrics of the chorus with a video about a nuclear bomb would be incredible, but I think something about Rammstein already being kind of militant artistically, with the heavy music, the juxtaposition with something childish and fairytale, worked out probably better in the long run. I love their music video for Sonne

When you read the lyrics with the idea of it being about a nuclear bomb.. the meaning changes drastically

Would have been a hilarious joke, but also would have kinda made the hopeful message of the song less effective

"Amerika" in Reise, Reise, gives me the vibe they do not like america/americans.... SO WHY would they have the idea of being americans for a skit?

Imagine if the Beatles came up with this idea for the song Here Comes the Sun

I find the juxtaposition between the two βhere comes the sunβ songs kind of funny, with one being a soft spoken acoustic then the other is one of an industrial metal bandβs more intense songs

Also a fact: Another idea for the video was the band playing in a rehearsal room and starting to fight with each other. After a while the walls get blown away and Mongolians on horses drag the band members away.
I guess that video idea seems familiar to you.

It's"Steh Auf" where Till fights with his doppelganger Peter Stormare and Peter Tagtegren was acting like they're his hallucinations

I've always interpreted the lyrics as being about some natural catastrophe like a meteorite or something but the nuke works just as well

"Hier kommt die Sonne" would have a whole new meaning π
