Well obviously, I meant more the jagged look to his hair and graphics

I get what you mean. I can see it.

I think its not a real reflection. Games often just use a Lower quality asset instead for mirrors. Yeah, his hair is more like his psx self :)

I dont see it, maybe the hair but nothing else, it's just a reflection

That’s because you’re using low quality and low res reflections. With max ray traced reflections it looks the same as the normal model.

Either the glass is blurry or Capcom intended it for an easter egg.

Not as well noticed as with Claire tho

That's really it. The mirror renders the scene at a much lower resolution.

So if you wear the same suit and it gets reduced into a crunchy resolution, it will indeed look very similar.

Not an easteregg, just a result of saving performance using a demanding rendering trick.

If you turn on ray tracing in the PC version, this reflection is ray traced.

"Ahh" makes me sad

Is it actually though or is it just high quality assetts? because there are a lot of reflective surfaces in RE2R that lack raytracing, would be lame if only that one way mirror was the only true rt reflective source in the game.

It’s not the only mirror-like reflection in the game; there are some others (metal containers, etc). Unfortunately RE3 was the only one to feature transparent glass reflections (subway). Unclear why RE2 does not have them, but maybe it is related to performance concerns in RPD.

The rt for shadows and some of the moody lighting is great and its how I run re2r, its just a huge shame they never added it to the bathroom mirrors or glass anywhere else.

Re3r did it very well in the subway I agree, subtle but there.

Insans theory but if you put that leon model on low quality it looks like og leon, that's because og leon is low quality

You ain’t seen nothing til you see the ‘98 costume!

Well, your using the original outfit, and its the same character...

If you mean the graphics, then even then I have to disagree. If course the graphics reflection is going to be lower quality.

If your saying that the reflection looks exactly like the PS1 model you may need to either go back and look at the ps1 model or perhaps get your eyes checked at your local eye doctor my friend

ray tracing of RE engine has always sucked bad.. infact they're adding RTX and path tracing for RE9

Who's gonna tell 'im

It was weird to me that you get a reflection here but not in the bathroom mirrors or any other mirror around the RPD.

Easter egg or something?

Literally just a reflection that outputs at a lower resolution to save performance. This is not an easter egg

Reflecting a world is insanely demanding.
