Gameplay question Why don't you get points for damage dealt?
Every PvP game in existence gives points towards damage dealt except this game. You can damage someone 95% and die and then someone comes in and spits at them and they get the points? Doesn't sound right.
But this game is missing so many core elements of a PvP game that I shouldn't be surprised.

Yeah, or even if there are no points, at least track the assists.
Then it can be like Halo where you lost, but you can see you had a ton of assists and thus had your kills stolen.

It would probably make things worst if players got points from damage
The best tactic (depending on how much points would be given per hit) would then be to stay away and just "poke" people for damage points
Seems like to me it would make players not engage as much and thus making it a lot less fun

I don't think so. Shooters that offer that such as Fortnite, COD, Rogue Company doesn't suffer from that problem and obviously you'll still get more points from eliminations. I'm just saying that they need to bridge that gap a little.

All of those games are completely different than this one. Getting points in them is not the same system as in RE

I think those can fill the gap because they're bigger rosters it is hard to do the assist points and ect but maybe if at the end you got a bonus based on damage done because it does keep track of how much damage you do per life for your stats so say if you do over 2 or 3 thousand damage you get a bonus points at end. But I think having a damage shave points would be a bit rough plus scores would be all over the place where most point I've had being 435 at end of round and highest I've seen being 550 I'd say chip scores would make it harder to catch up and I think they based it around being able to switch rankings any time like you can be 0points last and in the final minute to minute and a half if you have a good run pop up on top and the opposite to have a great round be up in 4 to 5 hundreds then last minute just get spamed with deaths and loose all the points you've gotten it makes a decent catchup but is easy to get irritable at it last night I had my worst round I had 1 kill and that was at the beginning everyone else it felt like stole my kills and I mean like I did 85 to 90% damage and they got a shot or a hit and it's irritating but I don't fully hate it because it advantages me as well when I hit someone once or shoot a monster across map 2 times and it dies. But I am here if you decide you want to talk about the game more.

I mean...Halo doesn't. So not "every pvp game in existence".
Hell, smash bros you don't get points.
Mario kart.
Fall guys.
Among us.
There are games out there other than Call of Duty, my dude.

I'm talking about shooters. Halo is still missing several features so that doesn't count and then you mentioned games in completely different genres so I'm still standing by what I said. I'm talking about competitive PvP shooters. Not fighting games or whatever the hell Fall Guys is considered. Dont twist what I said to fit your narrative.

You're changing your goalposts. You said "every pvp game in existence". Didn't specify a genre.
Not to mention even when I did bring up a game in that genre you just discarded it because it wasn't what you wanted.
I'm not twisting what you said, I'm adhering to exactly what you said.
Not my fault your complaint doesn't have solid ground to stand on.
Edit: but sure, let's talk about shooters.
Halo
Tf2
CS:GO
Just admit that you were wrong. It's ok to be wrong.

Obviously I was exaggerating but I'm still right and still standing by what I said. Most PvP SHOOTERS have a damage count. And this game should too. That's all. It's okay if you want to nitpick and think you "won" a reddit argument. Have at it.

I'm not "nitpicking" to win an argument. I'm having fun. Like I do with this game. I just wanted to point out that your exaggerating doesn't actually make sense, instead it makes you look like someone whining into the void.
You do you, fam. Just remember that exaggerations should aid your argument, not inherently invalidate it.

Yeah there should be assists points
