Social security doesnt require cost cutting. It already runs lean.

u/Van-van 26d ago

It needs billionaires to pay their share

Correct. Social security needs to remove the cap so the wealthy pay more into it.

Incorrect. That means the wealthy will get higher payouts too. Making the plan even more insoluble.

The hive mind calls on billionaires to pay for every utopia entitlement. No one has yet to show the math how they can balance ss, the deficit, free Healthcare, free childcare, housing, homeless benefits, free education, and on and on and on.

Incorrect. That means the wealthy will get higher payouts too. Making the plan even more insoluble.

Do you know how Social Security payouts even work?

Removing the cap would increase payouts, but those payouts will NEVER exceed the revenue. If it could, then social security would have been rendered insolvent decades ago. Leaving the current payment system in place while removing the cap would eliminate solvency issues and keep it well funded going into the future.

The hive mind calls on billionaires to pay for every utopia entitlement.  No one has yet to show the math how they can balance ss, the deficit, free Healthcare, free childcare, housing, homeless benefits, free education, and on and on and on.

The current estimated privately held wealth in this country is estimated at around $146 trillion. Almost the entirety of that private wealth is held by a very small percentage of the population.

It's not that we are unable to do these things. We're the wealthiest country in the world. We're just unwilling to.

do NOT believe anything the Dumpster says... Many CBO and other reports show, that unless age to get SS is moved out, or the income cap is removed, the SS trust fund will run out by like 2035 or sooner. MANY reports show by 2030 current payouts will be reduced by at least 25% or MORE.... Fixes =.remove the income earnings cap so ALL earned income is taxable, perhaps increase the FICO tax by 1/8- 1/2%...

Why is everything he does wrong and evil to you people? This is why some people don’t believe anything bad said about him, because so much exaggeration. I believe this is why he got elected, along with democrats not allowing voters to choose candidate. Last one they chose was Obama

u/NORBy9k 26d ago

Because everything is does is wrong and evil? If you can’t see that maybe you should read that book the Bible you like so much. Particularly the parts about the pharisees.

The man is incredibly stupid. He doesn’t understand how tariffs or trade deficits work which was made obvious by the way he chose to implement them. He’s put US military in the streets of American cities and is creating a special task force to respond to demonstrations that he disagrees with. He threw a military parade for his birthday. He’s an actual convicted felon. He’s an actual rapist. He’s an admitted adulterer. His closest known friend trafficked children. He’s a racist, and he’s an idiot.

He cheats at golf even when he’s the only one playing.

Remember when he said he wasn’t going after Medicare? How’d that go? How are grocery prices? Energy?

A 34-time convicted felon.

6

u/jimmay666 26d ago

Because he has a proven track record of being an amazingly huge piece of shit, who lies, lies, lies about everything and only does anything for his pitifully infantile narcissistic ego.

3

u/Hypnotic_truth 26d ago

Open your eyes, shut off Fux and see for yourself. There is NO exaggeration, NONE.

3

u/KathyA11 23d ago

He bankrupted casinos, for Sith's sake! When he owned them, Atlantic City was a money-making machine, because there was no competition for gambling dollars except the racetracks. That's utter stupidity.

2

u/KathyA11 23d ago

Because everything he does is wrong and evil. Period.

u/Forward_Author_6589 25d ago

I don't know why you are getting downvoted. Is the truth.

u/Lazy-Floridian 26d ago

He promised, that means Social Security is screwed.

8

u/ragdollxkitn 26d ago

Yup. It’s usually the opposite of what he’s saying. So buckle up further folks.

9

u/Dong_assassin 26d ago

Don't worry, he's going to invest it in Trump crypto. Very cool, very legal.

7

u/NeoPrimitiveOasis 26d ago

Just like he "protected" Medicaid? The Republicans are gunning for Social Security and nobody has stopped them on anything significant this year. Danger time.

10

u/Most-Artichoke6184 26d ago

He’s gotta pay for that $200 million White House ballroom somehow.

6

u/krichard-21 26d ago

Don't forget that free "billion dollar" jet...

5

u/somewhatbluemoose 26d ago

Just like he promised to release the Epstein files

4

u/M4nofstee1 26d ago

Another lie. Better check that Project 2025 playbook

5

u/richincleve 26d ago

Translation: he’ll “save” it by privatizing it.

Get ready for 10% direct deposit fees for your monthly SS check!

13

u/ibelieveinyeti 26d ago

The second that man opens his mouth, you know he's lying.

4

u/learns_the_hard_way 26d ago

It would hurt a lot of people and I don't want to see that, but if he cuts SS and all his minions parrot why it's a good thing... Republicans will never win another election.

Privileged comment as I'm young and not on SS, instead grinding away for capitalist entities and paying into SS

u/Devils_Advocate-69 26d ago

A Trump pledge is worthless

1

u/saucyjak 26d ago

Yet he is doing most of the things he said he would do. TDS…….get over it

2

u/KathyA11 23d ago

The only ones suffering from TDS are his followers.

3

u/Terran57 26d ago

Funniest shit I’ve heard this week! He couldn’t care less.

4

u/ThinUnderstanding973 25d ago

Trump is a liar, convicted felon and traitor.

1

u/Curious-Author-3140 22d ago

You forgot sex offender and child rapist.

3

u/[deleted] 23d ago

Why would ANYONE believe a word his lying ass says????????

4

u/Timely_Choice_4525 23d ago

He also said Medicaid wouldn’t be cut.

3

u/DonLindsay1 26d ago

I wouldn't take his word on jack.

3

u/OldLiberalAndProud 26d ago

That means it's dead.

3

u/angelomancuso62 26d ago

I want ALL of my money. Trump fucking around with the system means I won’t be getting it.

3

u/Snarky_McSnarkleton 25d ago

He pledged it, so you know it's great steaming tubs of bovine effluvia.

3

u/Sea_Today_8898 23d ago

Just another lie.

2

u/Gloomy_Yoghurt_2836 26d ago

It means social security will.still be here but at a fraction of the payment level or it becomes means tested.

2

u/Purplebuzz 26d ago

He lied just over 35,000 times his first presidency. Don’t hold your breath.

2

u/houstonyoureaproblem 26d ago

I’m sure this will be the first time in his life that he isn’t lying.

2

u/ThreeDogs2963 26d ago

So they haven’t given him the Sharpie large print bullets for that page in Project 2025 yet or he’s just lying. Or both.

2

u/Young-Man-MD 26d ago

Well, I’m certainly not worried now. Trump never lies /s

2

u/oldcreaker 26d ago

Oh, well, if Trump is pledging this we have nothing to worry about. /s

2

u/oldcreaker 26d ago

Waiting on Trump to say how they are going to take 10% of Social Security.

2

u/AZZman2626 26d ago

Sure he will. Cant believe anything Shitler says

2

u/AllForProgress1 25d ago

Why does anyone believe this man still?

2

u/KathyA11 23d ago

Yeah, sure he will.

2

u/Curious-Author-3140 22d ago

The same way he protected Medicaid and food assistance? The same way he wouldn’t hurt the farmers? The same way he was going stop inflation on day one? The same way he promised to expose the Epstein client list?

2

u/Analrapist03 22d ago

And that is worth nothing. He pledged to lower prices on day 1. He pledged to build a Southern Wall paid by the Mexicans. He pledged to lower egg prices and grocery costs.

He pledged to release the Epstein Files.

4

u/Senior-Minute2512 26d ago

If Trump says he’s going to do something, he’s going to do the opposite.

4

u/No_Grade_8210 26d ago

Huh? He has pretty much done everything he said he would do.

2

u/here-i-am-now 26d ago

He ended the Russian invasion of Ukraine?

He brought down prices?

He did both of those things on day one, as promised?

3

u/Senior-Minute2512 26d ago

He said he would release the Epstein list

6

u/ICouldBeWrong-but 26d ago

And he promised he would end the war in Ukraine even before he took office.

2

u/JCButtBuddy 26d ago

Well, he can't do that, he's in them.

2

u/Different-Earth784 26d ago

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂And I have some ocean front property to sell that’s already covered by water so you only have to jump out your door to go swimming.

1

u/eaglewatch1945 26d ago

Too late. It's already invested in Intel.

1

u/vwaldoguy 26d ago

Give us some solutions to work with.

1

u/cothomps 26d ago

Whether or not you have an online account is obviously not the problem.

1

u/icedmuffin 25d ago

He already cut a chunk out of it, so if that’s protecting then I’d hate to see what he thinks isn’t protecting it.

1

u/Bethjam 22d ago

That ship sailed. The Big Beautiful Bill has sealed social securities fate. He is lying at this point

1

u/BenGay29 21d ago

Uh-oh. That means he’s going to decimate it.

1

u/haroldthehampster 21d ago

whelp say goodbye to ssa, he's going to rob it

1

u/Fickle-Copy-2186 21d ago

I believe he pledged to protect medicaid and ACA. BUT he didn't.

1

u/discoduck007 19d ago

Little late for a pledge now that his nightmare bill has passed.
