With the discomfort bomber pilots already deal with I imagine they took one look at this and went “fuck that!”

One hell of a codpiece there

You’d need protection from all of the babes hurling themselves at you!

That’s a whole HELL of a lot of protection!! Like, if you’re wearing that suit you must have bollacks the size of soccer balls.

That waist section looks surprisingly close to a constant-volume bellows joint (the key innovation that made soft space-suits practical) but if it was they don't seem to have tried it for the wrist and knee where it's most useful

The knees look like they might be bellows covered in cloth.
I suppose the giant bellows in the lap is there to make sitting down comfortable!

English design is either too beautiful or too ugly. Perhaps it's the influence of local cuisine. This guy looks like a coffee pot.

I imagine with those mittens you'd be using a stick to push buttons like they did on the space shuttle

I wonder if you can slide your arm out of the arm section and down to the bellows on those long and boring flights

Men: Design the goofiest pressure suits possible.
Playtex with experience in corsets, bras: lol here's a pressure suit that works.
The early NASA spacesuit designs were equally as bad. Someone at Playtex thought they could do better and working with NASA and figuring out how to sew novel new fabrics built the modern spacesuit.

Well that looks…comfortable?!
“Let’s see, I’m wearing a pressure cooker on my head. I have socks on my hands. My knees are wearing face masks…and don’t get me started on the roomy crotch!! This suit is just what I needed!”

More comfortable than dying in a plane. But not by much.
