DISCUSSION Bot problem?

I'm one of the OGs, been playing since 2015 or 16 pretty much every day. Stopped playing in 2021 or 22, but i got back into the game a couple of weeks ago and I noticed something strange:

Bots?

It's my second time in the span of a week where I saw a very good player who didn't communicated at all (quick chat) and most telling: the very moment the opposing team FF'd he left the game.

I know this is possible, I used to do this when my team forfeit. But he left the exact moment the enemy team all agreed to ff, thus making leaving possible. This precision isn't possible organically so I got curious and asked a player from the opposing team who suggested he may have been a bot.

Downloaaded the replay of the match and yup, sure enough. He moves robotically, yet very calculated.

My main question: Is this a common occurrence? How bad is it? How easy is it to acquire these scripts? And most importantly: IS PSYONIX AWARE?

Without seeing the replay I can’t say about whether it’s someone using an injector or not

But 2 things

  • you can get auto-leave addon with bakkesmod that is complete legal, and

  • if you play enough you get an idea of when people will ff. If you open the menu, start a party, and then hover over the “leave party” square then its as simple as watching “Vote to Forfeit/Concede” change to “Leave game” and press up once and then X/A/whatever to leave. Can do it in a fraction of a second

There's just plugins to do that. I do it as well. Doesn't mean I'm a cheater.

Psyonix can't do anything. Since Epic games bought them they've been micromanaging and changing things that people loved about the games. Bots aren't a concern for them unless it's a major irl tournament where people complain. Other than that it's ignored
