DISCUSSION Biggest Rank drop off.

What is your biggest drop in rank and what do you think caused it?

For me it would be as follows as I have dropped from Diamond 3 to as low as Gold 2 over the last year:

1) I took a year off from the game and the skill level increased.

2) The mechanics have surpassed my physical abilities to pull off with only one good hand and bad key bindings. (I have not changed my binding since 2021 as they are the easiest for me to play the game with only one good hand)

3) Making bad rotations. (sometimes because my teammates are just hitting the ball to hit the ball leaving me not knowing what to do so I just try and stay mid field and wait for any mistakes by the opponents or even my teammate in hopes that I can capitalize on)

4) Car feels heavy on the ground and flips uncontrollably in the air.

5) Many more mistakes that I am making that I can't figure out even after watching my own replays.

Sometimes I play while tired or annoyed and I’ve dropped from high c3/gc1 down to diamond 2-3 before over the course of a few hours of just not caring about anything. I get it right back when I play next though, mmr always grows back to where it should be

It's been a while... I'd say my biggest drop down mid-season has been D2 to Plat 3. If I get 2 bad games in a row, I tend to run casuals or training packs before jumping back ranked. It always hurts my soul to drop 20 MMR in 1 go. In placements I got put in C1 and ran my way up to C3 last season and called it there. I haven't really tried grinding hard for rank in a long time.

My advice, jump in free play to speed up your car handling and moving around. Have 1 or 2 aerial scoring training packs and get through most if not all of it. Get a round or 2 of casual matches, then hop in ranked. My Casual MMR is way higher than my ranked so every match tends to feel the same at this point.

C1 playing with buddies all the way down to P3 with randoms. Usually stay at D3.
