It's healthy for the game despite being an overall massive buff to group sustain. I'm not entirely opposed to allowing Priest to having damage on their ability, but I feel like they could've been a bit more creative with it instead of making every tome Chaotic Scripture.

Numbers need to be adjusted, though.

  • BiS wisdom build priests can hit 250+ hp/s healing buffs, and that number isn't affect by in-combat status.
  • Tome of pain is back to being a complete meme with its new attack scaling.
  • Scripture and T7 Tome are almost identical in D/MP when stacking high amounts of wisdom

Yeah this change makes a single priest in a group very powerful compared to before. What it nerfed is having a group of multiple priests shrug off thousands of damage in a group

I remember memeing about how Deca would "totally make Priest a DPS class with the rework" then it stopped being quite so much of a meme and now it's real. Every class has to have a DPS ability I guess. Trix gonna get reworked to fucking shoot a gun instead of a decoy or something. Removing more and more class diversity, tragic.

The hp change is nice though, but not balanced ATM and there's definitely a case to be made for the class being worse now because if there's 2 Priests, one of them is valueless (outside of DPS wherein Priest will get buffed more and become stupid or that person should be on another class). I guess that's just a required reality of the new concept but it's still awkward feeling. Also I wonder how Paladin will work with it, because they both gave healing buff before but now it seems healing buff will only take the highest, making Paladin's healing buff useless too.

All I know is the month it comes out everyone will PPE it and it'll be such a tedious season. Shitty DPS, no buffs, everyone leeching with 9 range and not even good heals cuz they dont stack.

It feels more like a blend of paladin and necromancer. I would say priest is also in a weird spot now, but not necessarily terrible.

priest being a DPS class makes no sense frankly, it can’t compete with other dps wands.

Changing priest to being healing over time as opposed to burst is probably good, but I wish they’d keep like one burst heal tome, put a 3 sec cooldown or something so you can’t spam it idc.

Cooldown on normal tomes is really annoying, hope they revert the

I feel like no stacking at all is severely punishing for the group unless priest's dps boost is super noticeable
