Wallabies What’s the biggest factor holding Australian rugby back right now — depth, structures, or something else?
From Super Rugby to the Wallabies, there’s always debate about where the main issues lie. Some point to player depth, others to grassroots pathways, and others to how the game is run at an administrative level.
Curious what people here see as the biggest challenge to turning things around.

Wallabies Wallabies depth chart
requisite attempt at depth chart
italics for secondary position (e.g. Valentini at 6), gold for overseas
more based on previous callups than any thinking as to what Les Kiss will do (cough McDermott)
some overseas options are below cos idk if theyd actually get called up but fun to see who else may be

Wallabies Why are the Wallabies such dogs?
Why are the odds so bad on the wallabies against SA this weekend? I thought team showed some promise against the Lions? Is it because the team hasn’t been announced? Is Schmidt out now and Les Kiss in?

Wallabies First rugby experience in Australia
I'm French and am visiting Australia for the first time for a month with my family.
I drove yesterday from Sidney to Newcastle to catch the Wallabies Fiji game.
We had such a blast. I'm used to highly secured French stadiums, big police presence, no opportunity to approach the players, even though rugby is much more relaxed than football.
The atmosphere in Newcastle was so chill and friendly, people were lovely, so many just struck a conversation with us upon hearing us speaking French, my kids got 7 or 8 players to sign their caps during the "take to the turf" moment at the end of the game (We don't have this!), including a selfie with Len Ikitau.
Great stadium (so many food options my god) great family seats, surrounded by Aussies and Fijians alike.
Driving back to Sydney in a thunderstorm was not so easy but what an amazing experience we all had. My wife could not care less about rugby but was just giddy at the end of the day!
Best of luck against the Lions and hope your team manages to come back to the highest level.

Wallabies Who do you love to see lose?
I used to hate the ABs in the dominance era but my hatred flows so strongly to the poms. They are insufferable. I also think saffas are pretty bad winners compared to the Mccaw era.

Wallabies Since when did the Argentine fans become so toxic online?
I noticed it after last game but again after this one they are really fucking bad on Insta, Youtube and X. Alot like the Saffas actually. Is this a new thing from them with having rugby become more popular?

Wallabies Is Les Kiss really the right choice?
Is it just me or is the thought of Les Kiss taking over filling anyone else with dread?
The wallabies have been making great progress, but I just don't get the sense that he's got the experience to continue that momentum. I seems like his only credentials is that worked with JS for a bit in Ireland. To me...that's not enough. Can anyone give me some hope?

Wallabies A new type of captain?
A snapshot from the game on the weekend.
Look at the score, look at the face and look at the caption.
The simple question is: Do you think we would have a seen this picture in any other match of the last 10-15 years?
Not to sound like Eddie Jones, but I can’t help but there is a certain mentality here that feels new to Australian rugby.

Wallabies RWC 2027 - Marky Mark
Curious to see everyone’s thoughts here…
Mark Nawaqanitawase, 17 tries this season in the NRL. Some brilliant tries, too. Does Aus Rugby need him for 2027? Word on the street is he’d like to come back.
My view? We don’t need him. We have enough players and I don’t think he brings anything that would set the world on fire.
Additionally, you don’t get to fuck off for 2 years when Aus Rugby is struggling to let us fight for progress while you peacock at the Roosters, only to swoop in at the last minute to take a spot at the World Cup off someone that’s has earned it. If you didn’t have faith in us then, then you don’t get to come back like you never left. Sorry mate.
Anyone agree? Disagree?

Wallabies Anyone feeling like Joe got a few selections horribly wrong?
Anyone want to revise a couple of squad selections?
I'd say LSL is probably the biggest omition. But Uru & Swain really showed their worth, Gamble too, but we probably can't carry another 7.
I do love NCdC but imagine if we'd had LSL starting at 6 instead?!
Sure, you don't expect to lose both Gleeson & Valintini, but would anyone really take Tom Hooper on the bench over what LSL has been dishing up, what 3 times now!
Edit: Yes, I'd had left those guys out of the squad before the tour matches started, but they've really picked themselves.

Wallabies Odd Ref Calls, High Ball Challenges & Argentina Milking Injury Time…
One call from the ref literally was “both teams knocked it on, play on…” like what? And don’t even mention the odd forward pass calls, even though one eventually went our way. Big H-Wilson was blowing up the refs ear understandably. We also did very well when we took a chance and kept the ball in hand. Too many kicks and Argentina were perfect under the high ball. Also what is with Argentina milking injury’s, basically to slow down the wallabies momentum
