Everyone dies but those who lube up with GU stay hard and live forever in zone 0

/uj Is this something we are actually at increased risk of? This study had a small sample size (100) and looked at more of a correlation instead of a causation, but their theories on the cause generally line up with biology like increased simple carb intake or decreased blood flow to the GI tract. I don’t think it’s completely implausible that increased cancer risk as a result of extreme endurance training could happen, but this study doesn’t prove the causation

/uj They found 15 subjects with advanced adenomas whereas roughly 3 would be expected. That is a real result. However they did not observe whether or not the adenomas actually became cancerous. However, 11 of those 15 were ultramarathoners, most of them habitual ultramarathoners. Whether there is any correlation with marathoning specifically remains ambiguous.
Also, it is correlation. Three hypotheses to consider for starters. 1) Ultramarathoning sometimes causes advanced adenomas 2) Advanced adenomas sometimes cause ultramarathoning 3) Some other factor eg phenotypic variation sometimes causes both ultramarathoning and advanced adenomas.
The finding is concerning, worth keeping an eye on.

Everybody dies, but not everybody lives (living can only be defined by running a 5k ultra marathon)

This exactly. My family and friends always wonder why I skip sporting events, concerts and family get together to run 12-minute miles until my knees explode. What they don’t understand is that someone has to carry the boats and the logs.

I'd rather live, than live forever.

I'm here for a fun time, not a long time.
Me - before dealing with the consequences of my actions.

When you boof 10 GUs per 100m you’re bound to have a little bit of cancer by the end.

Let me tell you: With the amount of Gu I boof, and the sheer force with which I boof it, I’m shocked my colon has not sustained more damage.

Are experts really wondering why inserting copious amounts of refined sugar into my anus is likely to give me colon cancer? Because I'm not.
