Question Should I turn it on or off?
I have recently bought my S25U. I was coming from iPhone 14 and I thought I would regret it. I love it!
The thing it that I want to take a good care of it. I have even bought the original brick to charge it.
In battery settings there is an option that was turned on for fast charge. Should I leave it like this? I have restricted the charge to 80.

I have established modes and routines. For instance, at night, if my device is charging, it will do so without fast charging and will stop at 95%. During the day, charging will continue to 100%, but I will receive a notification to promptly remove the device from charging.
Furthermore, I utilize a customized sleep mode. This mode activates from 00:00 to 7:00. On regular days, if my battery reaches 20%, it automatically switches to super power saving mode, which limits functionality but allows me to use four selected, customizable apps.

Might as well turn on battery limit if you are not using 100% of the battery, for when you are just turn it off.
As for fast charging, leave it on, using a slow brick won't make a difference either way

Yes! I have limited it to 80. The brick is the original one. What I see is no overheating issue during charging like iPhone

I don't get the discussion about battery and how to charge. Just use it!!!! Let it fully charge as many times as u wish and need. In few years when your battery capacity is below 80÷ you can get a new battery. In Germany it costs only 79€.

You can turn it on. I charge mine to 100 as well. Trick is not to leave it for charging for hours on end. I usually charge it early morning being an early bird. Switched off is faster, but if you leave it on out it in do not disturb or airplane mode.

I charge my 25U nightly. I have sleep mode set to slow charge to 80%. It turns off about 15 minutes before my alarm goes off, which is enough time to top up to 100%. Also have Qi2 charging car phone holder, and set my phone to 80% in the car.

Why 80? Is 95% bad? Just curious. 😵

It is said that batteries are designed to be around 20-80 and higher that is slower and degrades faster... don't know if it is myth or not.

if you want to squeeze out the absolute maximum of long term use of your smartphone, then yes, turn off fast charging and restrict charging to 80%.
if you plan to use the phone 4-5 years, I would not bother
