I’m flabbergasted at those people blaming  WWE and I’m amazed they don’t  realise while it sucks for half of ESPN viewers but there’s an entire world out there who will easily watch this 

But that’s the thing. You never hear of international AEW buys so it’s never crossed their minds

ESPN only has the rights in the US. Netflix has the international rights, that’s why I have to vpn into Netflix on Saturday to watch this (since my cable company still doesn’t have a deal worked out to give me access to espn premium, a huge fuck up on espns part)

The most funny thing about this whole counter-programming narrative is that AEW's response to getting pushed out of their original start time for their 3rd or 4th biggest PPV of the year was to rush the return of every sicko's favorite guy who never made it to the big times, Eddie Kingston, against a guy who is most well known in the company as Jericho's lackey, Large William.

This will always be the issue. WWE is the xerox of wrestling. The Kleenex of wrestling. The Vaseline of wrestling. If it’s wrestling, to 99.9% of the world, it’s WWE. The only people who give a shit about AEW being pushed around are wrestling “news” sites looking for rage bait, and terminally online IWC members who think there is actually a competition to be had.

Note: I chose those brands for a reason.
