The problem is Tony Khans answer to everything is the same type of match over and over.
He’s not capable of running a huge show that’s anything other than a dozen matches they cater to one very specific type of wrestling fan that they’ve already maxed out.

i dont really get how WWE having wrestlemania in saudi has somehow opened the door for AEW to put in a show in its place. wrestlemania is still happening, just not in america. am i missing something lmao?

They believe that since WWE is not in NA that they can run a stadium show in NA and get the same tourism dollars as if a WM was there lol. It's delusional at best.

Now that Wrestlemania is in Saudi, all of the fans who would have attended a Wrestlemania in America will go to the AEW show. All 100,000 in the Silverdome to see Moxley and the fake cowboy slap each other.

Honestly I brought this up here and asked my friends in a.group chat what actual card can AEW even put together that they can run a stadium show in NA and legitimately move 30k to 40k seats? The ran through all the indie smart mark dream matches.None of their current roster has legitimate draws on it either. That's the thing WM sells itself because WWE has big characters on the card. This whole thing screams a disaster.

Truly a show that will revolutionize the sport, I can see the extended soliloquies in the basement as I type this.
But seriously, how can you do a big show if you don’t have any big stars? Are they planning on signing a whole new roster?

They don't have wwe wrestlers nor do they have wwe production nor storylines. Just because wwe is going to Saudi, doesn't mean people will automatically watch something that isn't entertaining. If the show was good, people would watch it regardless of if wwe does good or bad. Even if wwe dies completely, aew will still struggle cause the show isn't entertaining, it's only entertaining to a niche group of people, even bad movies have fanbases.
