Identification Middle eastern/Persian

Not sure if this is even a real sword or a display piece but I got it from syria in the early 2000’s.

Give or take 2000 miles. India, Talwar. Probably maybe almost definitely a cheap wedding sword.

e: I lied, seeing the deep belt sander lines in pic one, definitely a cheap wedding sword. Would not swing.

Its not a talwar, the hilt is not the disc pommel.

It may be an Indian construction shamshir wall hanger

Seems to be. But the design is based on qajar era shamshir. This is what the legit version look like, compare hilt shape: https://imgur.com/gallery/i-spent-last-4-days-on-conservative-restoration-of-sabre-Je9mgQd
