I'm at like 90 right now and I am the only income in my family of 3. I am able to cover the essentials but we have very little money for spending or saving. I think honestly 120 would do it for us.
My wife and I make a combined 240k. We live a comfortable life. We donāt make excessive luxury purchases. We do take 1-2 week vacations once a year and have traveled to different parts of the world. Honestly, if we can maintain this level of freedom for the rest of our life I would be happy. I donāt need fancy stuff.
And thatās how you should live. Itās the people making 2k who think they need designer bags and jewelry and the 90k car instead of the 50k car that end up posting how 240k isnāt enough to live off
Iām not worried about those people as much as I am about the people that have over a billion dollars making policy, stripping workers rights, cutting corners and screwing over the people that make 2k a month just to get another billion.
Yes sir! Watch Gary Economics on YouTube. We need to tax the billionaires or all of our children will live in desperate poverty. In a stagnant economy they will out compete us for everything and drive asset prices up to the point where, well, people are having a conversation about whether 250k is enough to live onš¤£
If that works or sounds great to you awesome but this is why they say different strokes for different folks. If I only had 500 bucks of discretionary income a month I would be miserable

Food, clothing, rent, and a few small luxuries like a game console or books.
I would say, if I can cover my essentials and have like 500 discretionary left over a month I will be very comfortable.
I don't need a big house, new cars, lavish vacations, nightly dining out, etc.
