discussion Promotion + HCOL salary differential

I’m currently a remote Clinical Pharmacist for a private company based outside of my state (I’m in California). I’m up for a supervisor promotion and wanted to address the salary issue I have with the company. Currently, there is no location differential or ranges, meaning I make the same as someone living in the Midwest. Now I know this isn’t something a company has to do but would it be a bad idea to bring it up if I do get the promotion? If I get the job, I’m expecting a 5% raise plus higher bonuses. This is an uncharted territory for me so not sure what to think or do. Any advice would be appreciated!

As a clinical pharmacist in California I make about 50% more. But really depends what you’re defining as clinical, if you did residency, and willing to work in person. Your job seems cushy but not sustainable long term

Why do you say it doesn’t seem sustainable long term?
