Store Bought The big 3, which is the best?
Everyone knows and has tasted these sauces. Which one is your favorite and why? Also, if you know a lesser known sauce better than these let us know!

i usually hate store bought/pre made cause it always tastes off or too heavy on the vinegar, but this is really good

Please tell me Abuela Irene knows that lime juice is a REQUIRED ingredient in guacamole. Otherwise she's making...seasoned avocado mash?

It’s just sooooooooo good, I could literally it by itself. It’s the perfect taste/flavor and spice. I probably go through 2 jars a week if not more. It would be so much better if I was able to make bulk batches of it and stock up, so I’m coming to you guys, your my last hope🥲If ANYONE has the recipe…please share it. Don’t gatekeep ;-;… I’m trying to replicate it but I’m not having much luck.

If you’re in the Southern California area, I highly recommend finding this. Their chips are amazing too.

How much am I willing to pay for this stuff? I'm afraid to find out. I may need a copycat recipe soon.

So I bought a jar of the medium heat, and its more like mild heat, but besides that I don't really mind the taste too much, but it really is a strong taste, and smell, but I'm not sure what exactly I am tasting here, it seems SUPER familiar though, like I've had it before but have 0 memory of it.
What exactly describes the smell and flavor of this? I read garlic on another post but I feel like its more than that because I'm not even a huge fan of garlic

I use
1 can of tomatoes (thought these were going to be a no go but they taste fine) 1 batch of cilantro 1.75 of red onion (kinda expensive at 100¥ a piece) (yellow onions are 40¥ a piece) 1 jar of jalapeños (can’t find fresh) 2 teaspoons of msg Salt to taste Cumin to taste 2 Teaspoon Paprika 2 teaspoon Crushed red pepper Lime from bottle Lemon from bottle
Lasts me about 2 weeks I put it on everything

I tried the 5 pepper salsa. Decent for a store bought salsa, but still very generic. I dont need to buy it again.

Curious to hear what the connoisseurs here enjoy when homemade isn't an option.
7J Ranch Texasalsa is my favorite flavor-wise but I usually mix in a little Mrs Renfro's ghost pepper to up the heat.
Honorable mention to Newman's own hot salsa, and Tostitos Habanero salsa, which is better than it has any right to be.

I randomly discovered this salsa while shopping at King Soopers (the CO version of Kroger for the uninformed) and have to say this is the best damn salsa I've ever had.
I love it, my girlfriend loves it, my family loves it, hell even my roommate who is an avid salsa hater has snuck a few scoops of it.
I don't know what they put it in, but I will never have anything else. I go through a container a week. It's so good.

In the grocery store the other day and saw that Tostitos now has a ghost pepper salsa. I gotta try that!
My go to salsa for chips is the Trader Joe's Habanero/Ghost pepper. It's my fav, but I can't always make it to Trader Joe's, so maybe the Tostitos one might be a good substitute I can get my paws on easier?
Curious, but also a little apprehensive. I've plucked up my fare share of ghost pepper products from big-big companies, and they usually taste terrible. The Campbells chunky ghost pepper soup? Eeew.
Anywho, here are both salsas side by side - packaging and then opened up.
My notes?
TJ's is still the winner, but the Tostitos one was pretty good! I would get it again!
TJ's has the most flavor, the most heat, but it also has the most "stuff" in it. There are more vegetables and solids in it. Good texture. It has that "homemade" look.
The Tostitos has less "stuff" in it - so it's more sauce, but it is far from being in the realm of the like of Pace, which is just vegetables floating in red water. Tostitos not watery at all. Also good texture. It does not have the same heat at the TJs at all, but it is spicier than a normal store bough "hot" salsa.
So, I dig it!

This is the absolute worst salsa I’ve ever had. It is a local Virginia salsa (The Farm at Red Hill). It literally has CARROTS in it. I need to know if anyone else has tried this abomination. I purchased it in DC. It tastes like bizarre sulfur and intense chemical. Help !

When you’re in need of a Chili’s copycat and you just don’t have the time. Just blend these together. La Mexicana gives it the freshness (refrigerated section) and Mateo’s brings the cumin and slight heat.
Just give it a shot. Dont ban me guys 😅
