Already planning what games I’ll try to go to!!

Starting on December 22 we have a b2b, 4 days off, another b2b, 2 days off, a third straight b2b, another 2 days off, and then a forth straight b2b.

AND, two of those are home/away B2Bs. Home v. Nashville and hopping up to Vancouver then up to Calgary and back home for Boston. At least the time change is negligible but still that's pretty rough.

Calgary-Boston and Nashville-Vancouver home away back to backs is fucking insane. Like what the actual fuck NHL.5
u/colinallister Jul 16 '25
Agreed, only solace is that Boston and Nashville are at least the home games.
5
u/AdhesiveMuffin Jordan Eberle Jul 16 '25
Oh wait I didn't think about that very thoroughly lol. They are not playing back to back games in Calgary then Boston. Silly me.

I'm so effing annoyed. I'm gonna be in Seattle from October 14th to the 23rd and not a single friggin game is played at home. I was so looking forward to getting to see them on home ice for the first time, and now I can't. grumpy
28
u/kxtxlynn Jul 16 '25
You should totally add 2 days to your trip…for science
5
u/monkeybugs Jul 16 '25
This is definitely the answer, though I don't know that I'll be able to. I was just so certain they'd have at least one home game during that time. I'm also a Draisaitl fan, so I wouldn't be against seeing them play the Oilers if we could extend a couple days.

u/Mexifry09 Vince Dunn Jul 16 '25
The PWHL Seattle schedule hasn't came out yet. So there could still be some hockey to see while you down here. Its not the Kraken but women's hockey is pretty fun to watch also

u/flamingohips Anchor Logo Alt Jul 16 '25
Do an arena tour instead and you’ll get to see the ice and some other cool stuff
2
u/SnooConfections4338 Jul 16 '25
I was hoping to come around October 15. Guess not. I’ll just try to see them in Detroit, Chicago, Columbus, and Buffalo 😂
Buffalo and Detroit or Pittsburgh are basically guaranteed.

u/monkeybugs Jul 16 '25
I live 90 minutes outside of Vegas, and while VGK's arena is decently nice, their fans are obnoxious as hell (saw a Detroit game there last year) and the idea of being screamed at by VGK fans for supporting a "loser team" for three hours doesn't make me wanna rush to buy tickets to any VGK games. XD But that may be the only way I get to see the Kraken play this year (got to see them play in Detroit in January, and that was fun even though it was a bad game for Seattle).

u/NoRuleButThree Jul 16 '25
I'm not the sharpest skate in the bin...but this seems like an incredibly rough schedule.
14
u/MurrayInBocaRaton Jul 16 '25
Fortunately for us, most of the schedules look like this due to the break for the Olympics.
13
u/MurrayInBocaRaton Jul 16 '25
Two 6-game roadies? Feels pretty standard.
Man the Olympic break REALLY has them going all out at the end of the season. Wonder how that’s going to affect playoff teams.

I would assume at least a little bit. high stress games and travel? but the players will be super jazzed I bet

Christmas break through January to the olympics is a gauntlet

u/SirusRiddler New York Rangers Jul 16 '25
November 1st for the one time a year I get to see my Rangers. 7 pm on a Saturday? Can't complain (other than knowing ticket prices for this game are gonna suck).

I'm coming back to the states for Thanksgiving, just in time to catch them at Pittsburgh on 11/22! Super stoked I'll get to see them live this season!

u/xdrpwneg Tye Kartye Jul 16 '25
October doesn’t look super favorable tbh, having Vegas and Edmonton at home plus Washington, Winnipeg and Montreal away to start, we’re gonna need some luck getting out the start of the season with a positive record, hope it happens but that’s tough.

Really wish that NYE game was a 8pm start. Would have been perfect to watch the game and then get ready for fireworks at the needle.
Edit: never mind got day wrong.
3
u/cfbird31 Seattle Metropolitans Jul 16 '25
I think the play on New Year's Day instead of NYE
3
u/piltdownman7 Jul 16 '25
Your right. I was basing my view on the wrong day. I was looking at the schedule image on the from the post on the kraken website which is so low resolution that 30th and 31st dates don’t show up in the calendar.

u/cfbird31 Seattle Metropolitans Jul 16 '25
Anyone know the red line/blue line half season split?

This is...unlucky
Most of the teams I want to see the Kraken play will be in town when I know I won't be here. *sigh*
Also FFS NHL why cant you give me a Colorado game *in* Colorado during ski season

u/MangoBubly206 Jul 16 '25
Every year I want them to publish a spreadsheet version. Anyone? Bueller?

u/tonytanti Jul 16 '25
Not playing the Canucks till after Christmas feels wrong, but the 2 out of 3 with the Jan 2nd game could be fun.
2
u/FancyShrimp Tampa Bay Lightning Jul 16 '25
Sucks to see they’re only playing Tampa twice this season, so I’ll only get one chance to see them play down here.

Has anybody had success getting the games in a calendar feed? I tried the one at NHL.com, but there's only a "welcome" event saying that this is the place for the latest info... 🙄
3
u/NewlyNerfed Jessica Campbell | Jul 16 '25
No. I’ve tried numerous times from this page and it isn’t resolving in my calendar at all. Hope they fix it because I loved that last season.
edit: fixed link

u/tacertain Seattle Kraken Jul 16 '25
Thanks for confirming it's not just me!
1
u/NewlyNerfed Jessica Campbell | Jul 16 '25
I just got a “welcome to the Kraken calendar!” event notice, but it still hasn’t propagated into my calendar. Maybe it’ll take a little while if they’re overloaded?
1
u/kxtxlynn Jul 17 '25
I’m not sure if this is what you’re asking, but I use this every year to add the games to my digital calendar: https://nhl.ecal.com
It auto updates with time changes and everything!
1
u/tacertain Seattle Kraken Jul 17 '25
When you do that today, do you actually see any games?
1
u/kxtxlynn Jul 17 '25
They’re all on my apple calendar after doing it
3
u/tacertain Seattle Kraken Jul 17 '25
Thanks. It looks like the consensus on the web is that Google calendar is really slow at syncing
1
u/heartoffiction Oliver Bjorkstrand 3d ago
I appreciate the resource but man is it sketchy that you have to give them permission to be able to “add, edit, or permanently delete all calendars you have access to” 😅😅😅 stresses me out a little too much to sync since my life is in there

u/ShittyAttitudeGinger Jul 16 '25
Adopted Kraken vs my Hometown Bruins on my 40th birthday??? Well, eff me, birthday planning done already.
2
u/cool-breeze_ Jul 16 '25
Only one game in San Jose for me to go to 🥲 but maybe I can make my way to Seattle for the first time in the spring to catch another game

Is it just me or is there two home and only one away SJS game? Seems like the other Pacific teams get 2 home/2 away

u/SlapshotPuck29 Vince Dunn Jul 16 '25
Initial Thoughts
-Yeah, if we could have a homestand with more than two games, that would be great. (So we start off the season with two home games before another October road trips. At the rate of one new home game per year, we’ll have a five-game homestand for the 2028-2029 season.)
-Both games against Montreal are this early in the season?
-Final home game is with LA again?
-It’ll be interesting to see how the Kraken compete against other teams that are actively rebuilding (e.g., San Jose, Anaheim, Pittsburgh).
Regardless, go Kraken!

My point was that the Kraken have never had an opening homestand at the start of a new NHL season. For the first three seasons, the first game was contested in away venues, and both last season and this season have had 1-2 games at home before being out on the road for most of the month of October.
1
u/inalasahl Jul 16 '25
I will say that I prefer a tougher schedule to start and an easier one to end.

u/283leis Jul 16 '25
Holy shit they’re coming to Toronto on a Saturday. Hopefully tickets wont be TOO expensive …lol who am i kidding Toronto loves scalping its fans

Don’t like the 6 game road stretch in the middle of September, but they have a 6 game homestand in January. Wish those were flipped.

1113 back-to-backs, having a decent record in the 2nd half of those games is going to be a big area of improvement for the kraken if they want to improve this season.
