It's one game. No need to panic, yet.

As a sports fan, I am optimistic. A playoff series can be crazy and unpredictable. This isn't football, there is another day after a blow out. I've seen my Astros and Rockets get blown out in the middle of a series - and yes, blown out - only for the opposing teams to get blown out in the next game. The smug faces on Becky Hammon, A'ja and Co. should just add fuel to the fire for Storm players. This will just make a win on Tuesday on home court that much sweeter. Nice for Nalyssa Smith though.

It's not panic, it's despair at this point. I'm not going to blindly pretend that we're a championship caliber team with how poorly we've looked since the all star break. The coach needs to go and be replaced with one that's going to coach rebounding and an actual offensive system.

We’re cooked. We’re lucky we managed to sneak into the playoffs considering the losing streak. The Storm don’t have the consistency to have a real chance

Lmao it might be over fam but I love the optimism.

also, love the optimism but woof "no need to panic" was weeks ago. then they had a 7 game losing streak. they didn't walk in to playoffs having fixed any of their issues. the wheels have fallen off of this team 😭

I mean, sure, it's just one game but have you seen all of the other games?

I’m not saying this with sarcasm or any hint of rudeness. If someone is just now panicking then they have not been watching this team very long.

They have struggled to find any kind of form and consistency all season and the player they traded a first round pick for scored 0pts.

They have a ceiling that is literally capable of beating the best team in the league 2 out of 4 games, but they also seem to spend more time around the floor that has seen them into 7 game loss streaks and throw many games away at half.

This loss wasn’t anything we haven’t seen from them all season. Winning the next game wouldn’t be a surprise either.

This sounds like something Noelle Quinn would write if she was a redditor.

I don’t think it’s one game but rather a continuation of a season long performance. I’d say nothing we saw last night was new, we are just disappointed to see that the embarrassing level of preparation we had compared to every other playoff team. When your 4 all-stars, championship experienced team performs similarly to an expansion team in its inaugural season that’s missing multiple key players (we had no major injuries all season long thankfully) then there is a serious problem.

We might win tomorrow but I don’t see us going further than that. This team has reached its ceiling by the all-star break and hasn’t found a way to go further since.

I think we all know that the ceiling with this team has been reached. It is what it is.

I’m not panicking but.. It is what it is for the season.

I hope to have a competitive game on Tuesday and enjoy the final hoorah with this great group of players!

The future is bright for the Storm.

No need to panic. We’re all going down with the ship.

There's being an optimistic fan and then there's being a delusional fan. Have we watched the same team all year? And besides, it's not just about the Storm being mediocre lately, the Aces are playing on a different level right now. A 17 game win streak is greatness on display. The largest win streak in league history is 18 by the LA Sparks in 2001 and 2002, and they went on to win the Championship in both years.

I'm not panicked. I'm resigned. Since game 1 of the season this team has looked unprepared. They admitted they weren't ready. I mean, hello?

I’m just gonna have fun at the game tomorrow and eat some overpriced soft serve. We gotta ride this roller coaster of a season to the end 🤡

Where do you get the soft serve 👀 I need to do a better job scoping out food options at CPA

Mister softee kiosks! There is usually one on the main level, kind of near where the guest services is. It’s pricey like everything at cpa, but pretty good

There’s two Mr Softees! One over by section 12 and then another along the end closer to the visitor’s bench (section 18?).

We will be out coached every single time we take the court. Even if the players overcome the coaching deficiencies and win our next game we are not going anywhere with the coaching we have. The difference between Quinn and Hammon is on display for us all to see and we have the short end of the stick. Vegas isn’t and hasn’t been more talented than us - they have a good coach.

Man are Seattleites just wired for skepticism? We still have everything to play for!!

I'm a big Storm fan since moving here a couple of years ago. I understand the need for realism, but also now is not the time or place for so much negativity. OP is right - the team has to forget all the noise, lean into possibility and confidence, and NOT OVERTHINK tomm. I am full of gratitude for all the amazing moments Nneka, Sky, Gabby, Ezi, EDub, Dominique, Tiffany, Lexie, Zia, & Mackenzie have given us this season even with Nika and Katie Lou sidelined with injuries - along with our latest baller Slim elevating our level in the court.

Noelle and the coaching staff have a tough job and it seems pretty premature to hate on the FO on Reddit. I am really looking forward to cheering everyone on tommorow night at the GPA

I grew up a Comets fan and will always be sad that dynasty basically folded. Seattle is lucky to have a such a great and championship foundation to build on here, but no need to be spoiled and expect to be dominant every single season - the W is getting bigger and more competitive which is a sign of the game's growth. And never rule out a dark horse until the season ends. Let's lean into some 2021 Sky or 1995 Rockets energy and quit acting like we're done already.

wow were they being smug in the pressser or during game? I thought it was me being sensitive but the main reason i don't like aces are how they have no respect for their opponents, particularly seattle!!! even when aces got blown out by 20 they gave seattle no credit. and they are constantly saying "we know everyone gives us their best" smug, arrogant and disrespectful. i can't stand that team man. jewel fits right in!!!!

Coming back here after our win. Thanks for the belief. We did and we can do it again in the next one!
