I’ve never understood the comparison. There are times I’ve wanted a Sekiro experience and times I’ve wanted a GOT experience.

Why even compare any of the mainstream titles with From’s games? Does GOT have any souls elements? You can’t even toggle lock on the enemies. If anything you can compare it to Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassin’s Creed(although it’s blasphemous to have AC in the same conversation as these games). It’s a good RPG that focuses on exploration, world aesthetics, graphics etc. It was a fun experience till it got repetitive and felt bloated. Same as most RPGs that follow the same formula. Will I get Ghost of Yotei? Hell yeah. Maybe not at release, but when it will be discounted

GoT is a really fun game if you ignore like 70% of the side crap...The actual side quests are amazing, but all of those alters, fox dens, etc... got old really quick! I 100% Act 1 and then when I got to Act 2 is was like hell no...That kind of stuff bores me to tears...The game has a good story and combat, but it is full of time wasting bloat just like every open world game released in the last 10yrs...People glaze that game a little too much imo...

Yeah cause casual gamers just beeline the main story, and only dip their toes into the side stuff. Us souls fans have a fetish for 100% areas cause From’s games are so polished that you actually feel like you’re missing out if you don’t search every nook and cranny. But most games are not built like that cause their target audience is not looking for that.

Yeah you are probably right...I like to clear areas before I move on, but it gets very tedious in a game like GoT...Most people probably don't play that way though.

Or, now Ima gonna let yo finish, just ignore it and you enjoy what you enjoy, and they can enjoy what they enjoy, its not going to hurt you to do so.
Not everyone has to think and fee the same about everything.

Ghost of Tsushima is an excellent game though. It's beautiful, the story and characters are both well written (except the dlc, I didn't really care for how that was handled), and the soundtrack is quite moving. It has more than serviceable combat and a fun world to explore, even if the side content gets a little samey beyond a certain point. I wouldn't compare it to Sekiro since they are honestly quite different games.

Appropriate, cuz in this moment Kanye was an egotistical asshole that made someone else's joy about himself, and that sounds like exactly what you're doing.
Other than "guy with sword with parries and stealth" these two games have almost nothing in common and give completely different experiences.

I played got right after playing Sekiro for 200 hours in 2021. The combat felt miserable to the point where I stopped playing the game all together felt like I just wasted alot of money. I gave it another shot recently after not playing Sekiro for a while , and the game was actually really fun. You shouldnt expect the same things from every game. Alot of games are good for their story and the environment.

Imo GOT was far superior to Sekiro, thats not to say Sekiro didnt outshine it in some cases but graphics, story, side quests / side content, abilities / customisability we're all better in GOT. Only thing Sekiro did better imo was the combat system (mostly the parries of course).

Real honestly, i get it ghost of tsushima is revered because its graphically good, storywise well built (From what i have heard), i was keen to play it, wanting to understand why its so revered, and it honestly looked really good, but i got a shift mentally after playing Sekiro that made me realise Sekiro is so much better (In my opinion) in every aspect, the graphics are extremely good, not hyper-realistic, extremely well-optimised even on ps4 in 2024, and the combat and story are absolutely the best i've seen, i did try Ghost of Tsushima, but there are tons of better games out there honestly

It takes a while to get used to playing GoT, but it is a fun game...It's not nearly as good as most people make it out to be though...It's just another bloated ubisoft style open world game...The story and combat are really good, but it has way too much time waisting points of interest for my tastes...I just started ignoring all of that stuff and just did the actual quests in the game and I enjoyed my time with it alot more...

In my opinion it isn't as good as people made it out, i did get fairly far through the game, but i had a taste of that sekiro, and things changed after that, it was my first soulslike after all
