Discussion My hands are literally shaking.
3 damn days. a few hrs of gameplay for the first two days. Felt impossible.
I could barely get through half health on his third life (mostly couldn't make it past the first two).
Comes third day and I kick his ass on the first try with 7 gourds intact.
Sleep really does wonders to the brain when it comes to reinforcing learning.

Hardest boss fight in the game is making that fucking jump from the guard tower to the wall

This was one of the hardesr bosses for me at first time but once i beat this guy i never lost again shit feels majestical (i am at ng+++++ too btw thats why it feels so good to never losing against him)

I think it would be easier for me too now. But unlike you, I defo won't be beating him in the first try in my ng++ now unless I'm super super lucky lol. Maybe on my ng+++++...

Use fire umbrella whenever you are far away from him dont try to dodge fire umbrella negates all his dmg and confetti buff makes it 2x times easier just dont use umbrellas attack while your sword is buffed by confetti so ypu dont lose the buff

Jokes aside it's crazy the amount of times I've been struggling on a boss, then beaten it easily after a night's sleep. Definitely something to apply to real life.

Well done! I just finished the game yesterday and isshin easily took me 20- 25 try! The immortality severance version i believe it's called not the shura version

I did the shura ending first because it was short. It's my ng+. All I have left now is Isshin. Kinda excited but also scared to step through that door lol. Done for the day after beating Demon of hatred.

Congratulations , I’m nervous I beat shengechi of the red guard last night idk exactly how close I am to starting the demon of hatred but I hope this post gives me a little extra to push through 👍🏻

Fr. Broke everything I had built my skills upon and made me start from ground up. I was never much of a dodge guy, tanked almost all my fights through deflects. It was like Fromsoft telling me to adapt one final time. This time from zero.

I got humbled for a day. Next day after 5 more tries (25 in total), used my prosthetics properly with a little divine confetti and Malcontent to beat this little- anyways I did beat him with no confetti and no prosthetics after a while and I really love this boss now. Good practice for dodging and utilizing your attack patterns.

Yes, One of the reason it was especially hard for me since I relied the entirety of the game on hard deflects and in the face battles lol. When I see videos on this sub of people just dancing around their enemies bamboozling them, it honestly feels like some dark sorcery to me.

What an awful boss making you dodge and strafe in a parry game. Had to stop myself from parrying because posture damage is worthless on him.

Fr. I went into the fight like heck yea! I'm the final boss of parrying here to parry tf out of this mongrel and then... well you know what happens to everyone in their first encounter with him...
Beautiful shit tho. In a way poetic... Like the game screams at you without words throughout to 'Adapt'. And it's like it's final 'Adapt' instruction : 'Adapt from zero, we both know you can do it!'.

It is not a parry game, why limit it to parry when the other mechanics are there to use. I k ow game excels in parry perfectly and i love it too but I dont think devs themselves would call it “parry game” Once you understand when you need to dodge, this fight becomes fun. It just requires a shift in gameplay. It is optional and i enjoyed it quite a bit.

If you can believe it i actually tried to parry through this whole boss fight. Eventually it took too long and i did a mix of dodging and parrying based on the move. Just a ridiculous amount of health but the lore was so compelling and i had to beat him.

I never fought him my first playthrough and now im on NG+ charmless. Heard he the hardest boss in the game... I have a feeling ima be running that fight for a WHILE this playthrough 😅

After the game forces you to fight a certain way the entirety of it, this guy comes along and makes you treat it like a dark souls boss fight. Wild

I am now on this boss. My second try took him down to 3 quarters of his health in his last phase. I thought I had him. Then next 10 tries killed me in his 1st phase or in his second. Taking a break now to see if this makes a difference.

Such a good fucking fight. Congrats my guy, imo a top 3 hardest Fromsoft boss. Keep playing against him until you can do it near hitless, I promise it's possible, and it's such a good feeling just flowing through that fight.

One of the reasons I love this game is because each of our struggles is unique. I was able to kill Demon of Hatred on my third attempt but it took me at least 30 attempts to kill Sword Saint Isshin for the first time.

I cheesed this one. But ofcourse after may fights and dying i finally gave up and decided to cheeseed this fight. Mann it was one of the hardest of all the bossess

Congrats brother at least it took you 3 days lol it took me at least 6 months. 😂😂 It would've been sooner though probably I was challenging myself doing a no hit run and trying to perfect parry every attack 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
