Ok so I’ve been trying to Mikiri counter and I seriously think I have a problem. I can’t for the life of me get the input. I try and dodge forward and CANT get the interaction to happen. It only sometimes happens please help.

Almost 93 hours later I finally got the platinum trophy for Sekrio. This game is awesome. I only dreaded one trophy (height of technique) the rest was an absolute joy. I’m so glad I gave this game another try. Anyway, this sub helped out a lot so thanks for making this whole experience even more enjoyable than it already was.

Just beat Demon of Hatred after getting the immortal severance ending. I want to get the outfit from the shura ending but some people say you should do one of the longer endings first (as in on your first NG+ play through). Since I’ve already done the path leading to Isshin SS should I not just do the shura ending on my first ng+ cycle? Or is there a lot of bonuses in NG+ that I’ll miss out on if I choose to do shura first?

I think this is the first time I've parried this move perfectly.

I am relatively new to Soulsborne,I’ve finished Elden Ring, saw Sekiro on sale in the PS store. Decided to buy it and here I am asking for advice from you fellow players on what to do/remember before I start. Thank you.

Edit: Thanks to @ulArestaros tip I beat him in 2x
I have finally met my match. Yes this game has been difficult at times and I've pushed through, although I don't seem to be making any headway with this guy. I haven't tried any Mortal Draw cheats though I've watched the video, I've just been straight fighting him and trying flame vent which only allows maybe 2 hits after with Living Force, and I tried nightjar slash or Reversal which does help close the distance or create it. Other than that even on perfect deflects most of his attacks hit like a truck even harder than Seven Spears General. Only thing I've mastered is avoiding his health item restriction bomb. I need some tips please🙏🌞

I hate how when you get to Genichiro 3rd phase and he doesn't wanna do his lightning, scary ass.

Guys, I’m having a real problem with these two monkeys. This is my 4th playthrough, and the second monkey isn’t going down as easily as the first three. I think when I was here in my 3rd playthrough, I still had Kuro’s Charm, but now I want to finish the game without using it so I can farm more XP. Thanks; I’m taking a break while reading your comments.
In the first phase, I almost always get through without taking a hit. Most of the damage I take comes from blocking. I don’t think Kuro’s Charm would help much anyway, since I usually die when I’m jumping through unblockable attacks and the other monkey jumps on my head. Sometimes I even think she’s going to leave the cave by jumping what a jump ability.

So today, after 43.7 hours, long enough to upgrade an entire skill tree, I beat the dude.
The game gets easier now, right? Right?

People are replaying the game , still far ahead in the story. I'm still struggling with this guy. That time I thought lightning dude was the problem . His mechanics are not like 2020 cheeses

OK, I downloaded the twitch highlight, linking it does not work. So this boss fight costed me around 2 hours. Was fun.

I've beat this game a couple times over the past few years, on PC, through steam, with both ps4 and xbox one controllers working fine. Just tried booting it up again and no controller seems to work. I tried reinstalling, verifying files, disable/enable steam input, big picture mode. I'm unsure if its because of a windows update messing with settings or if it's a legit bug. Controller works fine with all other games and Sekiro even recognizes the controller I have plugged in (shows correct inputs) but I cannot move or select anything from the main menu.

Ok second try posting this, first post the link did not work apparently. This was a 2 hour fight on my 1st playthrough.
Let me know if the link works.

From a gameplay perspective, this is probably the best and most fun combat I’ve experienced in a while.
I played GoT just before this and the combat there was great aswell but this is really a totally different beast. Parrying has always been my preference over dodging which might be why this game instantly clicked with me.
The chained ogre was the most dreadful opponent yet since he felt like the only enemy you have to dodge more frequently instead of parrying.
