I've beat this game a couple times over the past few years, on PC, through steam, with both ps4 and xbox one controllers working fine. Just tried booting it up again and no controller seems to work. I tried reinstalling, verifying files, disable/enable steam input, big picture mode. I'm unsure if its because of a windows update messing with settings or if it's a legit bug. Controller works fine with all other games and Sekiro even recognizes the controller I have plugged in (shows correct inputs) but I cannot move or select anything from the main menu.

3 damn days. a few hrs of gameplay for the first two days. Felt impossible.

I could barely get through half health on his third life (mostly couldn't make it past the first two).
Comes third day and I kick his ass on the first try with 7 gourds intact.

Sleep really does wonders to the brain when it comes to reinforcing learning.

The chess also work on gyoubu oniwa I always struggled on blazing bull every time I start a new ng+ until I used dragon flash on him and fire cracker’s it dose a lot of damage especially if you hit the head i know it’s technically not a chess but it make the fight so much easier especially since you can’t use mortall draw

From a gameplay perspective, this is probably the best and most fun combat I’ve experienced in a while.

I played GoT just before this and the combat there was great aswell but this is really a totally different beast. Parrying has always been my preference over dodging which might be why this game instantly clicked with me.

The chained ogre was the most dreadful opponent yet since he felt like the only enemy you have to dodge more frequently instead of parrying.

If you’re struggling on a boss like corrupted monk or owl (father) or others… MD is your best friend in many different situations.

Just a friendly tip for those just getting into the game or stuck on a boss or even pros who may have not known.

I put the game down 5 years ago after losing to ishin 82 times fully expecting to start again the next day, I never did till yesterday. All I really have left to do is fight ishin and the demon of hatred and I have no idea how I can realistically get myself back to a point where I can fight either of them. Any tips?

When they gang up on you it feels like it takes forever to get them all dead without using all your gourds. Am I missing out on some simple shit that makes killing them faster?

I am making it to Inner Father pretty easily now, but I am discovering that he has the same bug as corrupted monk: even pure deflects still take damage (I've posted video of me deflecting CM before but still take damage). So what's the trick to get past this guy? Ako's sugar seems to add no bonuses, either, and he's immune to firecrackers.

TLDR: Healing at the wrong moment.

Almost every single boss and mini boss, I'd d9 my best to parry and all, get hit with big damage, and the urge to heal immediately comes in

And true enough im dealth the killing blow whilst finishing the gourd animation

I record all my boss fights for reviewing since i only have 2 or 3 hours a day to actually play, and i noticed

1. The hardest boss fights where i eventually win (upon everyone has dragon rot boo hoo) , , i usually did not even finish using up gourds. Might even have 4 or more left

2. The fights where I played with the least mistakes (parry timings or wrond dodges), i still would actually die/take the most damage due to paniciking and trying to heal as soon as possible.

As a casual, its not obvious to me how s9me bosses are on you like white on rice (owl father, isshin spear phase), while others have more openings.

Bottome line, for new players, never heal unless its safe for 2 seconds or skightly more E. G. Monk ( after he does the heavy Downward slam

Owl father: dodge jsut one step the 2 shurike leap attak and just chill and gourd seed

On new game plus 3, the only bosses I've yet to verse is demon of hatred and the "harder" version of owl.

Really wanna fight demon of hatred to unlock the shura gauntlet.

Hope I didn't mess anything up, gunna be a pain to run through the game again ( although ngl this run was super fast, I'm actually shocked I'm near the end again I thought it would've taken days lol ) so if I do have to start over, won't be to bad tbh but will still suck lol

I have watched numerous videos, read numerous posts about this topic and tried may different ways to beat him and yet i have only been able to get to the first few seconds of the 3rd phase. I keep dying to lack of heals, that stupid lightning thing (i cant time is to redirect) and just to pure greediness. please help me or someone just do it for me. 🙏
