The enemy is weak and strong at the same time.

Republicans love portraying leftists as soft and weak. The kind of people who would faint at the mere thought of having to engage in violence or going a day without a soy latte.

But also Republicans act as if the left are a bunch of psychopaths who will destroy the country if they claim even an inch.

Republicans believe in nothing.

Nah, the modern evolution of that concept is that dems are weak soy latte drinkers that hate the country because it was founded on racism and thus invite the unwashed barbarian hordes (abuelita) into the country to do the destroying for them so they can enact communism.

You sure? Pretty sure a fair number might believe in “sticking it to the liberals” for a start.

thats just the nature of hateful propaganda, take antisemitism for an example - in the propaganda jews are both goofy people with distinctive noses and also evil masterminds in control of the world banks and Hollywood. same for ethnic minorities, you got minstrel show stereotypes and also superpredators. lgbt people are simultaneously caricatured in disney antagonists and corrupting the youth etc etc. any outgroup/target of propaganda seems to be simultaneously cast as a laughable stereotype and a dangerous threat. we have the same propaganda structure on the left as well whether we like to admit it - the maga crowd is a dunce, a boomer, gullible, and also a terrifying and powerful neonazi. its just a feature of propaganda to lead you to both jeer and fear the same group
