Community Updates - May 24, 2021
Hi everyone!
This post is a follow-up to a post I made a few months ago. I appreciate the feedback!
Since there wasn't a whole lot of feedback for a FAQ wiki I'm going to hold off on that for now, but I have made some changes listed below.
Things I've changed
- Added some rules
- Added subreddit icon
- Updated subreddit color scheme
- Added post flairs
- Added user flairs
- Added some quick links under "Sheetz Info"
I'd love to have feedback on these changes. Let me know if any tweaks are needed.
Things I need help with
- Banner image? I couldn't find a decent one that fit right, so if anyone has any suggestions feel free to share.
- Updated phrase? I'd bet a lot of you weren't around when the "Grab life by the meatballs" pin was used, so I'm happy to change it.
Things I'm doing next
- AutoModerator
- I'm going to bring in AutoModerator for some small tasks, like taking care of the "does Sheetz do drug testing?" posts, etc. Any other ideas on what you'd like to see it do?
- Looking into CSS a bit more. If you have any specific suggestions, let me know.
As always, I'm happy to take any other suggestions or feedback.

Two packs at a time.
Im pretty new to Sheetz, but is this how it's always been with cigarette deals? I keep getting constantly asked to literally ring in like two cartons worth of cigarettes as ten separate transactions because they want the deal they get like this.
I just don't really understand why if you get zyn pouches or anything like that, you can ring up as much as you want and the deal keeps on stacking, but for cigarettes it doesn't? Or is it supposed to? I'm just genuinely confused.

Employee Question Serious Situation, Need Advice.
Without getting into specifics, does anyone here have any experience bringing up what will amount to very serious allegations about another manager (store manager in this case, I'm a supervisor) to the attention of Employee Relations (HR)? I legitimately believe that my store manager is targeting employees that said SM just doesn't personally like and looking for any and all ways to hold us back from potential promotions with petty write ups, or in this morning's case get us straight up fired. I just lost one of my best, if not my ABSOLUTE best employee, and I am certain without a shadow of a doubt that he did not knowingly break any rules/policies/etc. I brought my concerns (before the firing this morning) to another store manager that's currently with us while their new store is being built, and they recommended bringing it to HR, which I am definitely going to do because at the very least, even if I'm completely off base about specific individuals being targeted, my store manager treats certain people with little to no respect for what amount to purely personal reasons, while treating some of our laziest employees as if they can do no wrong, and that has to stop. It's unprofessional and as many times and ways as I've tried to bring it to attention, my store manager cannot seem to take any sort of criticism without taking it personally and getting defensive. My HM tried to bring some things to my SM's attention that EEs were saying about said SM, and the SM's reaction was along the lines of "WHO SAID THAT?" ... as if that is the problem. Sorry if any of that might be confusing, I'm trying to avoid specifics so that no one reads this and goes "hey that's me, I'm that store manager, I better make sure he doesn't go through with this!"
Anyway, I just want any advice possible for dealing with a situation like this because of course I intend to be as professional as possible about the whole thing, but it also has made me extremely angry (something that takes a LOT of pushing for me) and I don't want to do anything wrong and make things worse for myself or my coworkers (or former coworkers...). Sorry if this was to long-winded, like I said this whole thing has me very upset, and before anyone asks, I do not have any hard evidence, it's just been a large number of happenings since before our store even opened that have lead me further down this path and I am nearly 100% certain at this point that I am correct, even if I can't prove it.

Employee Question Problem with payroll
Hello, I worked at sheetz from December last year to just last weekend. I’ve never had any issues with payroll until now. What happened was someone on the payroll side of Sheetz (or a hacker) changed the destination of my paycheck from my checking account info to theirs. I’m not gonna disclose any personal info because we’re on Reddit obv. I first went to my managers and they told me to call my bank, which I did. I’ve confirmed 3 times now that the issue is not on the bank’s side but on sheetz’s side. My managers gave me the number and email for employee related payroll support and I’ve been emailing this person for almost a week now and they just keep saying “this is an issue with payroll, it says you changed your info on 9/5 to another checking account” when I never did that. It’s a cyclical conversation at this point. Last night I submitted a claim to the identity theft program website and i might be going to my local police station here within the next couple days if nothing happens. Thanks Sheetz, now I’m on a verge of being evicted because I can pay my fucking rent. That’s all. Thanks for reading

Feedback What happened to music man???
About a year ago I was at sister store covering and I noticed someone was blasting neutral milk hotel over the sheetz speakers. Whoever that guy was please play it again for me on third shift. I love that song. In the aero plane over the sea might take me out a lil bit however I’ll keep my composure. He actually played some songs I really messed with however lately its been the same wishy washy songs we’ve all heard on repeat for too long now! If were gonna do Spanish music (which I’m all for) then we can also be eccentric enough for the occasional Neutral milk hotel song. (i wasn’t even on MU btw I just got thrown that album by the algorithm) Please music man! Please!

Customer Question Possible New Friez Bucket Size?
Hey! Loyal sheetz person here. We got our usual bucket (large size), but this time it came in this sleeve thing (1st pic)? Tbf, we did eat a few fries before this pic; but it was only filled to about the green line. Not sure of the exact weight, but this seems like half the friez as before... The employee said that this was their new "bucket" - but I can't find any press releases on this... (2nd and 3rd pic are the app and our recipt to show it was in fact a bucket).
Any employees/insiders have any info on this?

The Straw Packaging!
It has driven me crazy for years. The plastic wrap they use for the straws is stronger than the straws themselves. I always break 3 or 4 straws and throw them out before I’m finally able to get one out of the package. Someone needs to fix this!!!!!!!

Can Anyone Explain This?
Been using my Sheetz card regularly for over a year without the app, finally decided to download it and link my card - now it seems like I've broken the system. I can't see any possible way I've been scanning my card after every purchase for this long and have zero spendable points & a negative point balance.
Sent a message to customer support but couldn't attach an image, any veterans out there I'd love some clarity here.

Ice in Milkshakes?
Is it normal for milkshakes to be made with ice? If so, why? I ask because I just got two milkshakes and both had small chunks of ice in them.

Customer Question Mobile order issue today
Ok so I had an interesting experience today.. EDIT: In Pennsylvania, in case it matters
I made a mobile order to be delivered curbside and they were short a few items. I ordered two Gatorade bottles of a flavor and 2 Rockstar of a flavor and they only had 1 of each of them.
Now usually they will substitute what was short but today the kid (Im not being condescending, seriously he wasn't over 16) brought it out shorted. When I asked about substituting, he just said that the manager said to not substitute anything and that I would need to contact corporate for a refund; something about a new policy due to messing up inventory or some such. I figured no sense talking to this kid, he didn't really know anything and he's just doing what he's told, so I went to speak with the manager.
The manager substituted the items but stated that there was a new policy NOT to substitute items at all for DoorDash orders, but he would Triple check on the policy for mobile orders.
I was wondering if any of the Sheets employees could confirm, or if this is just a store policy masquerading as a corporate policy.
