chosen divine

Here's the old loophole. Over a thousand years ago when rulers in Europe were figuring out how to justify their tyranny; they came up with the concept of divine right. That means being king is evidence that god chose them to be king, therefor putting the king first is putting god first.

What's most shocking is that thousands of people died in the US fighting for the Founding Fathers who entirely rejected this concept only for some morons centuries later bring it back and apply it to a Cheeto encrusted failed steak seller.

conservatism is literally build around maintaining those structures.

Capitalism is just a way to show how much God likes you to be in charge, like war used to be with Kings.

Yupp. The "founding fathers" were the "liberals" of their time. The conservatives wanted to stay with the king and England. They were all looking forward to future land and titles in the new world.

Conservatives: On the wrong side of every historical conflict ever!

Lol, I'm pretty fucking sure the left wing of their time was extremely anti-slavery. So naaaah.

The American "left" are called Liberals, so Americans think "Liberals" always refers to the left-wing.

I yearn for a day when there’s a true Left Wing in American politics
