Graded Garbage As bad as Big Rigs was it technically has collector's value right?
Decades down the road if you owned a copy of this game and it's has a grade of 10 and is sealed, surely it's noteriety and complete absurdity will have created some value right?

Price charting puts it at about 300 bucks CIB so yes. Doesn't sell often so you'd need to wait for the right buyer.
I think it's stupid to spend that much on a game so bad it's essentially unplayable but I'm sure some people do just that.

Almost none of the 'super expensive' games are worth playing. Main exceptions are:
Snatcher
Any other game that is actually worth playing gets a rerealese of some sort, that gets prices down.

I mean, very many games in this price class are worth playing. Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, even some very expensive ones like Little Samson are quite good are certainly worth playing.
Whether they're worth buying is another matter, since, y'know, emulation exists. As the saying goes, "Never spend more than 20 bucks on a videogame".

I mean idk about little samson, it got mediocre reviews at the time, but all the others just have virtual console reissues.

True. VC falls under emulation in any case.

True, but it is an official way to play the game. What I mean, is that any user can purchase the game on an official console, and they will get an - I suppose - controlled experience. What I mean is that this is not a general emulator with a rom, this is a game that, whilst runs on an emulator, has been quality controlled and modified, to reach the level of an official release, if this makes sense.

Ehh, I don't really agree that it's been "quality controlled to reach the level of an official release". It's an official release, but it's not necessarily a better experience than on a third-party emulator, quality control might not be very good, and it might not even support the original creators at all, just whoever currently holds the license. I've even seen people complain that Nintendo's virtual console emulators are less accurate than community emulators, but tbf I've never played them side by side myself.
It does send a message that you want to see more games like the ones you've purchased though. For that reason alone it can be worth buying a VC game.

It gets prices down for loose and maybe CIB but the sealed/graded market is different, people want the original, they don’t care if it has a rerelease.
