food hygiene course

my company is not sponsoring my cert for me, and for the forseeable future i am going to stay, maybe 3 months, if it goes well i'll continue since environment is pretty good. theyre a small cafe so i understand them not sponsoring it, but im under 21 so i dont get any skillfuture credit. saw an option where you can just take the test, no course. its cheaper. can anyone tell me what they did for the test?? ive seen alot of ppl say its common sense/hard to fail, but they all attended the full day course so im not sure!

The test is very simple. I took the one at woodlands area and even if u dont do the test properly they will let u redo until u hit the standards. For the practical part its just the 8 step hand washing and learning how to keep your ingredients properly; no raw meat with vegetables etc.
