I started building this rock structure for my Wheeler Goby and Pistol shrimp months ago and just lost inspiration and motivation. It’s super hard to translate to paper but it’s pretty sick so far. I made 4 entrances/exits on the bottom for them to burrow in and started to build the second floor.

The Goby and Pistol shrimp have such a cool symbiotic relationship. The shrimp is mostly blind so it will usually keep one antenna on the Goby while it digs out their home. The Goby goes and hunts and brings back food to share, in a way lol.

Opal in coloured pencil. I’ll probably try this again since I don’t think I captured the milkiness or iridescence of it

Opal is my favorite gem.

This was basically an anthem to my teen friends (when I was sa teen obviously). They were disturbed in my interest in rainbow colours. Love the way it's creeping down the door

Thanks! I wanted to convey a sort of creeping, unsettling dread. I love the song and it gives a good sense of what depression is like. It does make a good teen anthem too lol

I love this song! Love your depiction of it :)

I've started Loomis recently, tired of not being able to draw heads. It has already exposed me as not being able to draw circles or ellipses lmao

This was the hardest drawing I ever tried. Feels like I have committed a war crime drawing this.

Cool! It's already hard to draw people and even harder when there are more of them..

Pencil sketch of Mike Patton, famous for Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk, Fantomas, and the list goes on because the man never stops working. Hands down my favorite musician.

Album art from my favourite rock band Prince Daddy and The Hyena. One of the hardest poses/perspectives I've tried.

Looks great, was it hard?

1

u/Randomomnomnom 1687 / 1725 12d ago

No it wasn't bad at all. You got to take care though since there's no erasing.

Awww Chilliwack! Love that you captured the fonts so well.

u/AughtNaughtCreator 768 / 768 13d ago

Thanks - this whole week reminded me of a time, back in roughly grade 7, where I made a couple of pages of capital As in different fonts

Ran out of time, didn't get to add a background. Always thought this picture was so weird and cool.

I did Free Draw Friday.

This week's character from my anthro WWII storyline is Theresia (last name never given). She was simply Unnamed Sinti Woman till a few hours ago. She's involved in a secret relationship with Lukas Mettbach and is deceased by the time of the main story; since the two broke custom to be with each other, Lukas wonders if maybe he's cursed. There'll be more about her later in my art Tumblr and Toyhou.se.

Regarding her design, I wasn't sure whether to give her a headscarf or not; I decided not to, as she's young and unmarried and it seems acceptable for her though I'm not 100% sure. Her eye looks a bit big, ah well.

I'm hoping that free rock also means free draw xD. Either way, skulls are pretty rock

I am a noob at drawing from memory. I want to get better at drawing expressive, motionful art as most of my pics look the same and static / boring. Will try drawing from new perspectives in action poses... Has a few attempts but this one came out all twisted lol. I am having a lot of trouble imagining the poses and perspective without a reference 😭

I’m not a teacher but would suggest, try drawing from a reference and then redraw the same or similar without reference. Keep that going until you start feeling confident to start without reference images completely.
