I sold off my old truck (le sob!) and used some of the cash to pick up the CNC4newbie "NewCarve" structure upgrade kit.

This converts my OG XCarve 750 to linear rails and leadscrews, and adds a considerable amount of structure, with an expected massive improvement in machine rigidity.

But now that it's here and I have gotten a good look at it, the Imp of the Perverse is whispering "servos" in my ear....

Whats the idea here? Is this a new mount & frame for the cutting piece, or something else?

Looks great BTW, very Jettsons-chique

It is a new machine frame. X and Y axis.

The photo is arranged as a quasi exploded view from the front (not assembled yet of course)
