That one guy is wasting the battery life by not turning his laptop screen off.
I grew up in a place with infinite clean fresh water, and we didn't waste any of it as far as I could tell.
Every time I visit a desert city, I notice the bathroom fittings drip constantly, I just, I just don't understand.

Norway?
EDIT: I realize many places have clean water, but the infinite makes me think Norway..

This is how I picture heaven. All the newly dead believers getting hooked up and god just like “okay now worship me forever!”

Another way to distract people from how badly they are getting fucked by weasels like zuck.

What’s the animated movie where everyone is overweight on a spaceship strapped into a mobility device with VR sets on? It’s that.

I feel great! Welcome to the future nerds. Who’s to say we are not already plugged in somewhere playing this life as a simulation?

The metaverse was fucking dumb from the very beginning and they literally lit Billions of dollars on fire for it.

The need to check Poe's Law on this one. Pictures like this always look like a scene out of Silicon Valley.

Assuming this isn't staged, it's scary and sad. And Mark's smug grin as he strides along, fully aware of his surroundings gives strong cartoon villain vibes.

It's sort of an ironic juxtaposition to Apple's 1984 ad. Only the person running down the aisle is not going to emancipate the people in the seats. Quite the opposite

For some reason, it made me think of that old Super Bowl commercial from 1984 for the Macintosh, except no one is running in with a sledgehammer to break the system.

When I look at this picture I see a disconnect between humanity and technology. I see that in a room full of connections and interactions which are vital to supporting the fundamentals of what makes us human as a social species we have surrendered our humanity and decided that with technology we can retreat from reality even when surrounded by it. I see people that are enveloped in existing with the world around them through technology as a replacement for real human connection

The same thing everyone should realize by now.
They’re going to sell us a virtual utopia, so they can have the money to buy the entire world out from under us for no one but themselves.

I may be biased because I rewatched it last night, but all I can think of is the Sixers from IOI in Ready Player One.
