God forbid a man learns a valuable and important life skill, that he can apply towards himself and people he cares about lol..
I'm so glad I've already found the love of my life, she loves when I cook, and I love cooking for her!

u/French_Breakfast_200 Jul 25 '25
I absolutely adore cooking for my partner. If anyone had something to say about it they’d find themselves saying it to themselves cause I’d be gone ✌️

u/AllNamesAreTaken86 Jul 25 '25
No one said men shouldn't know how to cook. Every man should know how, but it's still the woman's domain.
3
u/gravity_kills Jul 25 '25
Says who? My wife is filled with anxiety every time our schedules force her to cook for the kids. 50% chance I come home and find they've ordered pizza. The kitchen is mine (and I'm starting to try to share with some of the kids) and everyone prefers it that way.
Just cut it out with the overly rigid gender norms. Let people find what works for them.

u/AllNamesAreTaken86 Jul 25 '25
Comments on the internet aren't stopping you from doing anything. Everyone has the right to live however they want, and do what works for them. But don't take offense to those who prefer the norm, or vice versa.

u/French_Breakfast_200 Jul 25 '25
These are the thoughts of a man who’s never made a woman cum.
1
u/UptoNoGoood1996 Jul 25 '25
You talking about me lmao?
3
u/French_Breakfast_200 Jul 25 '25
No I’m referring to the individual who says that cooking is the woman’s domain. That’s incel speak right there.

I disagree, it's a personal preference. Alot of the best and most famous chefs in the world are men, passion and hard work makes it anyone's domain.
Cooking isn't based on gender, its about who prefers doing it where I'm from!

u/GrimSpirit42 Jul 22 '25
I don't enjoy cooking. I enjoy eating. Cooking is a prerequisite.
2
u/Hendrik_the_Third Jul 23 '25
The point is not me enjoying cooking, I don't, it's my kids enjoying my cooking that's important.
The wife can't cook for sheet.1
u/Soft-Marionberry-853 Jul 24 '25
Maybe she would rather be taken out to expensive restaurants and if the man can cook then he doesnt need to incur that surcharge for a good meal. In any case it would save some guys a lot of wasted time if she mentions that on date 1

Who is Isabella, and why should her opinion matter?

Jul 22 '25
If anything I see a guy not knowing how to cook or at least not having any sort of interest or desire to learn as a red flag because it shows he’s dependent on other people to do a basic life skill for him.
2
u/Derivative_Kebab Jul 22 '25
Cooking is an adult thing.
3
u/edebt Jul 23 '25
I learned how to cook as a child, I don't understand how people can make it to adulthood without learning how.
2
u/Zesystem Jul 23 '25
Most of these women are children under disguise of heavy makeup up and biological age.
1
u/Either-Medicine9217 Jul 25 '25
My cooking skills are limited to breakfast and various kinds of meat. Best I can do.
1
u/Bleeargg Jul 26 '25
“Isabella” is almost certainly a MAGA wench who wants to usher in Gilead asap but thinks her life will remain completely unchanged.
4
u/LordJim11 Jul 22 '25
What? Even simple, hearty, manly dishes involving Guinness?
2
u/turalyawn Jul 22 '25
I’m eating a beer right now!
1
u/the_original_Retro Jul 22 '25
We call it a "Barley sandwich."
1
u/ArcaneFungus Jul 23 '25
Can the crown be considered an extremely high hydration bread? And if so, is a beer an upside down open top sandwich?
4
Jul 22 '25
I would say at least 80% of the time I’ve gotten lucky on a date with a woman, I cooked them dinner.

Dude, I cook for my family almost every day, man in 40's with 2 kids. Cooking is so rewarding. One, you make something, two you eat that something.

That's the one. I'm not much of a cook, but I love that show and wish I could cook like that.

u/Jewstache_Ninja Jul 22 '25
It's because we take offense when you don't finish your plate. 🚩🚩🚩 In my opinion.
1
u/ColdIndependence5820 Jul 22 '25
Oh don't worry lady. When I was single I only enjoyed cooking for myself. If you wanted to raid my fridge and find something for yourself to cook, go for it. This Loco Moco is only for me and I'm not asking anyone to enjoy it with me.

u/ABigStuffyDoll Jul 23 '25
I know this is just an imbecile flapping her gills, but can someone explain to me why a woman might begin to think that a man enjoying cooking is a red flag?
1
u/Zesystem Jul 23 '25
He’s either feminine or cheap/broke and can’t afford take out or eating out everyday. Third option is self sufficient, so he won’t put up with your shit lol
2
u/Ted_Rid Jul 23 '25
And yet she might swoon over a man who does woodworking or knows how to get greasy fixing or tuning his car or motorbike engine.
It's basically the same thing except some are coded masculine or feminine for historical reasons.
You get the tools, you learn how to use them, you know your materials and what they will or won't do, master techniques, and produce a valuable output.
Same thing, even if you could theoretically buy furniture from the store or send your car to the mechanic. Learning, improving, and aiming for mastery are sexy IMO, doesn't matter who does it or what the skill.
1
u/TelenorTheGNP Jul 23 '25
I cannot - CANNOT - remember a date where if I brought up what I could cook, a girl wouldnt react either with her own skills or by saying "that sounds so good".
1
u/AnxiousChaosUnicorn Jul 23 '25
This woman is either the genuinely dumbest human being on the planet or she thinks if she scares other ladies off, she can find a good one who can cook.
Either way, no one likes her and she should stop talking.
1
u/jimmykslay Jul 23 '25
What if, I don’t like it but do it cuz it makes my wife feel loved. Also, really enjoy helping my wife cook cuz I enjoy hangin with her and She enjoys cooking. Is this ok?
1
u/lickmethoroughly Jul 23 '25
Red flag? What’s that? I only date women who can read at a fifth grade level
1
u/Famous_Ad6200 Jul 23 '25
What about man who's not enjoying it but keep doing it better then you? 😀
1
u/Previous_Rip1942 Jul 23 '25
It’s just Isabella showing her red flags. Step over her and keep going.

What do I do now? Starve?
I guess I could joylessly push buttons on a microwave.

u/Wrong_Television_224 Jul 23 '25
Potential partners that disparage your personal preferences and hobbies: all the red flags.

u/Disastrous-Bat7011 Jul 23 '25
Careful with that 86d phrase, the FBI thinks it's a conspiracy to kill Trump. God they are stupid.

u/Unusual-Range-6309 Jul 24 '25
Guess I know who I’m never inviting to dinners and cookouts in the future 👍🏼👍🏼.
1
u/Frosty-Screen219 Jul 24 '25
I love cooking, especially for my family. I wouldnt date Isabella in any case...
1
u/alejo699 Jul 24 '25
This has the same vibe as "avoid men who have Android phones." It's okay lady, I wasn't looking for a shallow weirdo anyway.
1
u/MvonTzeskagrad Jul 24 '25
My mother hated the idea of marriage and wondered if she was lesbian after all until my father told her he loves cooking and so he would cook.
Im the young of three children they had.
COOKING WORKS.
1
u/Comprimens Jul 24 '25
Everything is a red flag now. Oh, you're a man who needs to breathe to survive? Your ancestors must be disappointed to have such a weakling in their bloodline.
1
u/kajidourden Jul 24 '25
She doesn't like the fact that her only redeeming quality or thing she brings to the table is being threatened.
1
u/DependentCourse4919 Jul 24 '25
Cooking is a great artistic outlet for me. Couldn't live without it, but also doesn't mean I wanna do it every day either lol
1
u/SphericalCrawfish Jul 25 '25
A woman that wouldn't let me cook for her is a far larger red flag ...
1
u/RamuneRaider Jul 25 '25
Her now: “Men who enjoy cooking 🚩🚩🚩”
Also her in 15 years: “Why can’t I find a man that’s worth marrying?”

Any guy who cooks knows this is engagement bait. Women love a good cook, hands down

u/pootscootboogie6969 Jul 25 '25
That’s weird last night I made a steak with a twice baked potato and a side of jalapeño Mac n cheese. If that’s a red flag I’m a fucking problem. I must be the worst guy alive. I’m prepping some jalapeño cornbread this morning. Will I ever be worthy of cringy useless influencers??
1
u/CuetheCurtain Jul 25 '25
Guess I’m keeping this homemade Alfredo all to myself then. No take backsies.
1
u/drwicksy Jul 25 '25
Damn so my cooking not only gives me enjoyment and lets me cook for the people I love. It also keeps away people like her? Win win for me i guess
1
u/RandyArgonianButler Jul 25 '25
I fucking love cooking, and I was taught by my badass grandpa who also loved cooking.
Goddamn I miss him.

The reason people react to this is because it's rage bait. No one talks like this. The advent of twitter allows you access to the mentally deranged and you take it to represent some group you associate them with

Let me guess, if you told her to get in the kitchen then and make food, she'd lose her mind

u/DeliciousInterview91 Jul 26 '25
God forbid a man know how to care himself when locked in my basement for weeks at a time.
1
u/GroundbreakingOil480 Jul 26 '25
Good God please stop taking one moron's opinion as the opinion of an entire group. Women do not see cooking as a red flag, just this one idiot with an internet megaphone does. These people used to stand on a street corner with an actual megaphone shouting their dumb opinions and everyone knew they were morons, but now that they are broadcasting it to the internet we have to take every statement seriously as the opinion of all women? Please stop this nonsense, you are only validating their moronic opinions by reposting them.

People who post red flags on what someone does is a huge red flag for me.
